Hotels in Chester

"We arrived into Chester a good few hours before check in so wanted to ask if we could store our luggage, however our room was ready so we were told we could check in right away! (Great start!) We were also upgraded at a discount price (nice little touch there) The exterior is stunning, the revolving door (possibly my favourite part of the hotel haha) and grand staircase were just stunning! The staff were so friendly and helpful. I had cut my finger earlier in the day, it kept reopening and one of the staff was very helpful in getting me wipes and extra plasters as I’d ran out. The room itself was gorgeous!! We had a view of the back gardens which looked so nice with the autumn leaves! The bed was large and comfortable! I would love to know where to buy the pillows!! I HATE climbing stairs but they were just too grand not too. We didn’t eat in the hotel but we did have a drink in the bar whilst we waited for a friend and it was lovely. The food looked delicious. The one and only issue I had was the strange humming/buzz at night which made it difficult to drift off to sleep. However, I did bring earplugs and should have used them so that’s on me haha! Would definitely stay here again if/when we visit Chester!"

"Lovely last minute get away. The canal view room was spacious. Lovely hotel, the staff were super friendly and helpful. The pool and spa facilities were excellent. The food in the restaurant at night was delicious. Will definitely be going back."

"Asked for housekeeping to be done when we left the hotel. The only thing done was new teabags were placed in the room and new towels were put in. The bed was not made, the room was not tidied, new mugs and glasses were not put in the room. Very disappointing. Called twice but reception was busy, so we settled for a room that had not been attended to properly. Disappointing."

"we stayed 20-27 Dec: ＞＞＞the good - warm bathroom floor, daytime reception lady's service attitude (the ex-nurse), aircon, downstairs quiet seating area, coffee and croissants in morning, blackout curtains, windows/view of racecourse ＞＞＞the bad - booking error by Roomzzz - they cancelled the wrong dates when i made a change (although compensated us with upgrade thank you), no free parking (and the ringgo app forced us to pay GBP15 for 24 hours for only part-day parking), we had to remind staff about room cleaning twice, the night receptionist was not customer-friendly and also was constantly listened to loud TV on speaker, the bed sheets had some stains on when we checked in see pic."

"Stayed here recently for 5 days. Fantastic experience here. Staff are unbelievably helpful. Didn’t get all the names of staff but Dave in particular was extremely helpful and went out of his way to ensure a couple of parking issues were sorted immediately. The car parking situation is the only real issue I would have with the hotel as it is a small car park and spaces are on a first come basis but this would definitely not deter me from returning. Rooms are excellent, spotless clean.Easy 10 minute walk into town and nice walkways along the canal which runs alongside the hotel. If you don’t want a noisy awakening around 6.30am from the gym music below stay away from the first floor rooms,although this didn’t bother us at all as we were happy to be up early"

"The hotel was spotlessly clean and in a great location. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant and food are outstanding!"

"Lovely hotel and great location however the room was disappointing for the price, one of the armchairs was badly damaged and the other brown stains on the material. Sections of wallpaper were peeling off which gave it a very tired appearance. The iron board was also broke and we had to prop it up on a chair. The room we booked looked nothing like the images on the advertisement and I had to check with reception we had the correct room. For £330 a night I don’t feel we had a premium room, the staff however were lovely and very welcoming."
