＞＞＞the good - warm bathroom floor, daytime reception lady's service attitude (the ex-nurse), aircon, downstairs quiet seating area, coffee and croissants in morning, blackout curtains, windows/view of racecourse
＞＞＞the bad - booking error by Roomzzz - they cancelled the wrong dates when i made a change (although compensated us with upgrade thank you), no free parking (and the ringgo app forced us to pay GBP15 for 24 hours for only part-day parking), we had to remind staff about room cleaning twice, the night receptionist was not customer-friendly and also was constantly listened to loud TV on speaker, the bed sheets had some stains on when we checked in see pic.

GGuest UserMy husband had a broken bone in his leg we where booked a room on the first floor. When he saw us he arranged for our room swap, offered us tea and coffee whilst we waited for this to be arranged. All staff were very professional and courteous offering to take our bags to the room. We will plan another trip as we were unable to use the facilities.

TTrevor McMullanWe stayed 3 nights. Pretty much everything was straightforward. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, though a little dated in parts (swimming pool area). Parking was expensive but easy, and the location close to the City Centre was just a dream. All of the main Roman and city attractions are within easy walking distance. All in all a really good stay. The only niggle I have, is that on the first night we ordered room service after a long trip. It took 3 attempts for the order to be correct. This was disappointing but at the end of the day, it was no massive issue.

JJema MayburyStayed here last night, everything was perfect. Our room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for one night. The hotel is close to the city so just an uber ride away. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we opted for the breakfast the next day which was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserAsked for housekeeping to be done when we left the hotel. The only thing done was new teabags were placed in the room and new towels were put in. The bed was not made, the room was not tidied, new mugs and glasses were not put in the room. Very disappointing. Called twice but reception was busy, so we settled for a room that had not been attended to properly. Disappointing.

Nice grounds, busy carpark and popular venue for parties and business guests.
Carpet on second floor dirty and smells.
Sink kept blocking because plug holes full of scum.
Toilet seat incorrect size and not secured properly.
Bed comfortable, nice towels tea and instant coffee and bottles of water in room.
Breakfast nice selection BUT no fresh decaffeinated coffee only instant granules yuk!!! Nothing worse than awful coffee!!! With so many decent decaffeinated options available and customers not drinking caffeine this is totally unacceptable.

GGuest UserI thought it would only take 5 minutes to get there, but it ended up taking 20 minutes in the rain.
I found out that the agency platform charges about 30% more.
The community hotel has no elevator, so I had to carry my luggage up by myself.
Then I found out that the room was so small that I couldn't unfold my suitcase to take things.
The breakfast was a typical British breakfast, which was enough to fill my stomach.
What I couldn't accept was that there was no place to put my luggage after I checked out, and they said they were not responsible for the safety of my luggage. No one looked after my luggage, which was really unexpected.
Finally, the old lady suggested taking my suitcase to a locker at the station and spending a few dollars to store it. The actual result was that Chester Station didn't have this service. I was stunned!
There are two other hotels 3 minutes away from the station, such as Lloyd Hotel, which is better, and the actual price is about 55~60 pounds.

GGuest UserAs a big fan of Premier Inns I felt this one wasn't up to their usual standard. Beds always very comfortable but the bedding wasnt adequate, slightly ill-fitting. Also the room was cold and the air con set to high did not work. The TV also did not work in our room, aerial connection was cited aa the reason on-screen.
On a lesser and more personal note, i like the scrambled eggs option in the morning but only fried eggs were offered at breakfast.

GGuest UserFor a normal size breakfast you had to pay extra, the heating was broken in the spa so it was quite cold. The hotel did look a bit tatty in places. Service was lacking, always had to chase the staff members. Lovely building and good location.

GGuest UserThis is a very traditional hotel. It has a very good leisure centre (so don’t forget your swim suit).
The hotel has a large bar area which is very comfortable and the prices reasonable.
There is a large free car park.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
