Find the Best New Delhi Hotels

I was to have a meeting in delhi and have been avoiding it as I truly do not like that city. However, since I had to go myself, I was on a lookout for a place that is not a tower hotel! I came across this boutique luxury hotel called The ***or and felt it just perfect also it was just 16 mins away from Connaught Place, where my meeting was scheduled. The cobble paths for cars, 12 room property in a quiet neighbourhood of Friends Colony was more than I could have ever imagined, it was beyond bang on. It was everything I wanted it to be. I reached at dinner time and Camillo’s is where V and I had an Italian meal. The salmon linguine was one of the best I’ve had. Eating happily under some heat and in the outdoor garden with the slight Delhi chill in the air. Room 2 was nice and spacious with a little veranda, it was on the Ground floor,,this signature room was fine but the shower cubicle is too tiny and needs to be spacious! The next night after my meeting I ate at Inja, their Indian - Japanese restaurant on the property. It’s an experience like no other. I’m blown away and everyone I know in Delhi or travelling there should eat here! Taste, texture, guidance and flavours full of goodness made me a total fan of the food and the crazy yummm cocktails! I think I had 3! I cannot stop raving about this deliciousness called Inja! If someone says Delhi to me now, this will be my preferred place! The ***or is quaint, charming and is made for me. See you’ll in March 2024 for a longer stay! A special shout out to: Supradeep - the mixologist who took us through the cocktail adventure! Akashdeep- very helpful and attentive! This was my 4th visit or possibly 5th...I really like my stay here. The staff are friendly (English is tough for some) but they will do anything to help and support you. I enjoy having the possibility of meeting lots of other visitors, either during breakfast or in the evening time on the terrace. A great opportunity to meet people from other cultures. Your room has a kettle and fridge which is handy. As I'm a girl on my own, I feel very safe at this home and would recommend this accommodation for travellers who are by themselves. Close by is a small market area and very easy to get a tuk tub and close to Green Park and Haaz village. Parking for visitor is tricky as its residential area. |This would always be my choice in Delhi..

Cons- 1. The reception staff is rude and blunt. They are expert at arguing and do not respect customers point of view. It was disgusting talking to them. 2. They are a bunch of liars. They don't admit and stand by what they speak. I had problems with my check out time extension request at the reception and also when i requested to refill drinking water in the room. 3. They don't provide pair of towels, soaps, complimentary water upfront until one requests. I had a cheap experience when I asked to refill regular water in my room. Room service replied that I need to buy water as their RO plant is not working. When i insisted to supply complimentary bottles they returned with regular water stating that they made some arrangements. So be prepared for such incidents. Mind that the staff can reply anything and later they don't agree to what they said. 4. The food cost is on the higher side. 5. Window AC which was noisy, old fittings in the bathroom, low water pressure. Pros- 1. The hotel location is very near to T1 terminal and busses are available for T1 and T2 terminals at walking distance on the opposite side of the hotel. 2. The rooms and bathroom were spick and span. 3. The food quality is good. Overall only the location and room was good but the behavior of people doesn't match the quality. My experience was very poor. I will not recommend the hotel to anyone unless one wants to stay too close from the airport. They charged 5600 for a deluxe room. There are ***y more hotels available at less cost and better reviews than this one. It would be better to avoid this!
