Find the Cheap Orange Bay Hotels

I was thrilled to experience Jamaica for the first time, and as it happens we were extremely fortunate to have our stay at Sunset at the Palms in Negril. From our initial welcome by Tobian on the concierge team, to our last day exit the experience was top-notch. I highly recommend the resort. Everyone contributed to our enjoyment and appreciation for the beautiful country of Jamaica and our lovely resort, but to add some specific names, we thank Tobian, who gave us our first impression of the resort's quality, Cleon, who was heading the concierge team for our stay, and Andre, Aldain, Sashana, and Tafari who were also a part of the concierge team and were always there to lend a helping hand; Kadian McPherson front desk manager, the sous chef Chef Myrie, also Chef Kenroy, Chef Fitzroy, Chef Sheldon, Mrs. Barrett, and the entire restaurant staff who made all of our dining experiences memorable and delectable. We appreciate Mr. MacFarlane and the security team for keeping us safe during our stay. Our thanks also to Ms. Allen, Mr. Jackson, and the housekeeping team for keeping up our accommodations during our visit. We learned so much during our on-site botanical gardens tour from head gardener Lynford, his expertise aided our enthusiasm for the lovely plants, flowers, and birds we observed. I was able to receive an impromptu swimming lesson gratis from Clavon at the pool, and my thanks to him for his suggestions to improve my fitness. I do not have names,but thank you to the gentlemen and ladies who staffed poolside bar, especially the gentleman working the day of 7 August 2022. Also thank you to the other bartenders who also provided us with lovely beverage concoctions. On our excursions to YS Falls and Black River (highly recommended) our driver Mr. Sinclair was a literal fount of knowledge, not only providing a singularly smooth ride, but also giving us detailed information about the parishes and towns we passed through, and making our day trip the most memorable and delightful. Thanks also to Lacia at the gift shop, we purchased some needed items there, and quality was high. We enjoyed some entertaining nights on site as well, with the inimitable piano playing skills of Paul, who has a vast and varied repertoire that we were able to enjoy. I could go on and on! Check in went bizarrely unhinged and mismanaged. The next day management visited to rectify the horror. Overall service was above average in most departments. I rebooked because nothing is perfect and amendments were offered.

Just got here and I am already so dissatisfied that I’m considering moving locations. We’re here with a wedding party and you would think that they would be better prepared for a group. It took us over 3 hours to get our room and this was after being told 10 more minutes an infinite number of times. Finally we were told that 1 of our two rooms is ready and the other should be ready in a matter of minutes, we’re on the 3 floor with no elevator and we have a baby with a stroller and car seat. Speaking of my baby, there was no crib or bassinet in the room so I’m not sure where he’s supposed to sleep. I’ve called the desk to request one and no one has answered. Btw the room next door where my mother in law is supposed to be staying is empty with the door ajar and it looks like the room as TRASHED by the previous occupants so I’m not sure how it will be ready in a few minutes. We were given the run around for HOURS today and I’m not sure why this hotel is so expensive because I haven’t experienced a lick of proper customer service, nor any amenities yet that would justify the price. This is going to be a particularly long 4 days

Very nice hotel on the beach. Hospitality was top notch. Every staff I encounter was alway had a smile on their face, professional, respectful, pleasant and helpful. This hotel has the best breakfast. I was so full, I did not need to eat again until dinner time. I had oxtail for dinner and that was so delicious. The bar has excellent drinks. My drink was rum punch after the first drink o was very mellow. Housekeeping did an excellent job it my room. Bed was very comfortable and slept like a new born baby. The ocean view from my room was breathtaking. Thank for your excellent service and will definitely return. The sand on the beach felt like baby powder on my feet.

We visited Country County from London UK for a family holiday. We had our 1 year old with us so we’re very careful when picking accommodation as we needed a cot. We arrived and had to remind staff that we had booked and paid for a premium room and requested ground floor. We were moved with no problem. They take $100 deposit when checking in didn’t have a credit card on me so they asked us to go to the cash machine and get cash. That was a bit of a hassle. Room is traditional Jamaican. Very pretty surrounding and we loved the decor. Room was spacious had a massive comfortable bed and sofa bed. Air conditioning worked well and was extremely cold. Just a shame it blew directly over our bed so we couldn’t get a balance in temperature. Windows are shutter style with no mesh so there was no way we would sleep with windows open. Negril had a lot of mosquitos. However surprisingly there were not so many mosquitos in the room. Room cleaned daily. Breakfast was ok you can order off the menu. Orange juice was the sugary fake juice. Staff friendly. Beach absolutely stunning. Plenty of sun loungers. No foot wash coming off the beach but we used a bucket outside our room. Swimming pool was useful with the baby. We ate lunch at the hotel twice. It was ok but I would say walk down the beach and get better choice. Hotel drinks are very expensive. We paid nearly £30 for two double local rums. Bottle of water was $7! Supermarket is just across the road so go there and stock up on drink. Overall a lovely stay. Don’t expect luxury and you will have a great time.
