"I booked a 2-night stay, but after just one night and one morning here, I feel the need to share my experience.
I was really looking forward to the hotel breakfast after days of traveling on the outskirts. However, despite paying for a breakfast buffet, I wasn’t given any choice of what to eat. The only option served included bacon, beef sausage and sunny side ups, which all of the above could be an issue for guests with dietary restrictions. When I asked about alternatives, the staff were unhelpful—even though the restaurant was nearly empty with only two tables occupied.
Communication was also frustrating. I understand there may be a language barrier, so we used a translation app to clearly request coffee creamer and butter. Even then, we ended up with four black coffees and no butter. When I asked for tomato sauce, I was given warm tomato pasta sauce instead. Small issues, but they added up to a frustrating experience.
If you’re only looking for a place to sleep, this hotel might be fine. But if you expect good service and attention to detail, it may not meet expectations. A hotel stay can make or break a trip, and for a four-star hotel, I expected much better. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider Millennium Hotels in general.
To make matters worse, after I raised my complaint, the hotel agreed to refund my breakfast. However, they insisted I bear their platform and marketing fees on Trip.com, so it wasn’t a full refund. Lolol. I would have gladly paid 100% for my breakfast if it was what I had actually paid for. Yet, when the hotel is at fault, they refuse to take 100% responsibility and still expect to avoid any loss.
Looking back, I wish I had listened to my friend’s recommendation and booked the Kempinski Khan Hotel instead."
"A very nice hotel, the linens are snow-white, the robes are very soft, the room is clean, everything you need for a stay is there, the staff is very friendly, the girls at reception are always smiling, on our second visit they ordered a taxi for us, the assistant helped us carry our suitcases, he did everything we needed and helped coordinate everything. We ended up returning to this same hotel after our trip. I recommend it to everyone. At first, we took a room without a window, it was stuffy. Then we got one with a window, and the room turned out to be spacious, and we had no complaints."
"The hotel seems a bit worn out despite being renovated not long ago. The lifts had see-through walls that show non-plastered wall, which was strange, but I didn't ask about it. Bath towels were frayed at the edges. Saw a loose nail from the furniture on the floor. Never got the morning call that I requested. The driver they booked to send me to the airport did not turn up but the front desk personnel got me another set of wheels to the airport. Otherwise, it looks like he was about the drive me there himself, which I appreciated. What I like about the hotel is its location, walking distance to the square, Gobi cashmere and convenient store etc. In addition, the hotel doesn't seem to be overly crowded, so it is easier with the lifts and breakfast."
"To be fair no concierge!
Even they will tell you that Im not going to talk to you. Lol!
Expect some 3 star services and amenities while you paying for 5 star.
Lobby have that smell. Maybe toilet or sewer leak.
Otherwise, location is top."
"I stayed here briefly as a stopover, as there was a gap between my arrival in the country and checking into my next accommodation, and I also wanted to gather some information. Perhaps due to the time of year or my schedule, I didn't see any Koreans during my stay, but I did notice three Japanese guests and a few other international travelers.
With a CU convenience store to the right, a GS25 to the left, and a Korean market and restaurant across the street, the location is quite convenient and accessible. You take the elevator to the 5th floor, and then need to walk up one more flight of stairs. Upon entering, you're expected to change into indoor slippers on the right side of the entrance, which isn't immediately obvious and could use clearer signage or instructions. I later discovered that there's a sauna and shower facility located to the left of the entrance.
Breakfast is offered, but it's very much tailored to local tastes, which caught me a bit off guard. The reception staff are proficient in English and Japanese, though their Korean skills were somewhat limited.
It's fine for a short-term stay, but I wouldn't recommend it for an extended trip or if you have a packed itinerary. However, if you're keen to interact with Japanese travelers, it could be a worthwhile choice.
Smoking requires guests to go down to the first floor, which can be a minor inconvenience. On the plus side, having a bank on the first floor was very convenient."
"I love this hotel, if ever i will go back again to Mongolia i will stay here again. This is one of my most memorable trip, also love the breakfast buffet but kindly add more options. This trip is so unforgettable, it is one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in my life."
"The hotel room was very comfortable! The front desk was so friendly and helpful. They arranged a driver for me to go to local attractions and the airport. The room service was bountiful and delicious. The gym had all the equipment for a serious lifter!"
"I had few times stayed in hotel .Everytime was perfect.this time front disk reception was good worker .I don't know there is small towel had bit dirty when I checked out.they said charge 30 .000 mnt I told them it's very little one. If you not pay you can clean yourself .gosh it's makes me annoying .traveld so many place stay with hotel .never tell me like that . I well not coming back in future.too bad service"
"The hotel is very close to the central square of Mongolia, making it very convenient for sightseeing.
There are family rooms for three, perfect for families.
The room was clean and well-maintained, but the curtains didn't let in much light. One of the large windows only had a half-curtain, so we had to pull it up to block out some light, which affected our sleep.
Also, a deposit was required upon check-in, but there was no receipt. When returning the key, the staff seemed to have forgotten to return the deposit, but fortunately I remembered before leaving.
The room rate includes a buffet breakfast, which isn't very extensive, but tasted decent."
"Good and clean hotel. While it's rated as 5-star, I would give it a high international 4-star rating. Staff are helpful and their English is very good. Location overlooks the main square of UB - this is a plus and minus. If there are a lot of activities/celebrations going on while you're in UB and you're facing the square, you'll hear ALL OF IT. If you're looking to go the main business area just north of the Shangri-la Mall, then it's about a casual 15-minute walk."

Amazing
GGuest UserLocation: Located near the center of Ulaanbaatar. It's about a 10-minute walk to the Central Department Store and about a 25-minute walk to Sukhbaatar Square, making it within walking distance while exploring the city. There's a small supermarket on the first floor, making it convenient for buying heavy items like drinks. The room is on the third floor, but there's an elevator.
Staff: The staff are all very friendly. They're all women, so they're reliable. They'll even arrange separate rooms for men and women upon reservation, so even solo female guests can stay comfortably. I highly recommend this apartment. One staff member is also always on the same floor, even overnight, so there's no need to worry. The staff speaks English, so socializing is also a breeze.
Facilities: There are four shared toilets and showers, so you can use them without any problems. The kitchen is also available, making it convenient for those staying long-term who want to cook their own meals. Thick hotel-quality face towels are provided. Hair dryers are also available. Soap is provided, but you will need to bring your own shampoo and other essentials.
This hotel is popular with Korean guests and seems to have few Japanese guests, but it offers a good balance of location, service, and facilities, making it a great choice for Japanese people looking to keep accommodation costs down.
MM366344****700km from Inner Mongolia to Ulaanbaatar, it takes a long time by car. I arrived at the hotel at 24pm. The boss waited for me for 5 hours. The room is very new and clean. The Mongolian people are really hospitable. We Chinese and Mongolians are brothers. We hope that people who want to come to Mongolia will bring friendship to promote the friendship between the two countries
I like Mongolia and Mongolian people, and the boss also provides various fruit candies and bread

Very Good
FFlorian JohannesAmazing value for money and a good location. Short walk to the center and the mayor business and office buildings in Ulan Bataar. And believe me, walking is the by far fastest and convenient way to get around in UB. The staff was really friendly, good English speaking and so helpful, as Mongolian people are in general.
AAleFragolaWe had a great experience at this hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was big and very comfortable, we really had a good rest. The room has everything you need, such as hangers, place to store your belongings, a fridge and complementary water and tea. We used their laundry service and our clothes were clean and soft.
The service is amazing, they helped us book a taxi to go to the airpor, answered all our questions and always tried to help us.
The location is convenient, you can easily reach by walk the main tourists' spots and restaurants.
Very tasty breakfast, although it's not a huge buffet, I found that there was still quite few options and have healthy options, even for people like us who do not usually have savory breakfast. I loved their overnight porridge and muffins.
If I ever come back to UB I will stay again at this hotel.
AAnna K...Normal for a short stay. But that's if you don't bother. The place is good, I didn't quite understand where exactly it is located. But everything is nearby. Shops, cafes, etc.

YYataliyaThere is no hair dryer or disposable slippers, but the price is OK. It is convenient to walk one kilometer to the state-owned department store. However, Mongolia is not really a tourist country. Ulaanbaatar is a capital city. I don't want to stay there for a day. The cost is too high.
GGuest UserI stayed here for 2 nights in early October 2023. This is my first time in Mongolia. I sometimes take early morning flights to the next country, so it fit my travel style.
◯Good points
・A luxury apartment built in 2022? A room like a room. It's quite spacious and it's interesting to see the housing situation in Mongolia.
・There is floor heating and heating in all rooms, keeping the room warm.
・There is a balcony where you can have a drink in your room while looking at the magnificent land and sunset.
・There was a kitchen, cutlery, and a drum-type washing machine.
・Although there is a rhythm, the temperature and water pressure of the hot water are satisfactory. There is also a bathtub
・There is a large supermarket about a 15 minute walk away, and a convenience store-sized supermarket on the first floor of the hotel, so you won't have any trouble shopping.
・Almost all the outlets in the room are universal, so Japanese home appliances can be plugged in.
△Points that caught my attention
・There is no hair dryer. It's dry so it will dry within an hour...
・Maybe you can't flush paper in the toilet. Is this also normal in Mongolia?
・There are some amenities, but I have sensitive skin so I didn't use them just in case. Better bring it
・It's better not to drink water. The shower is a little yellow.
✕Hard points
・Taxi is the only route to the airport. The front desk called it for me and it was $25, which was a bit expensive for a solo traveler.
However, since it takes 30 minutes to get there from the new airport, it was a great addition to our itinerary. When you arrive from the airport, if you make a reservation in advance, we will pick you up for free, and if you forget, you can take the shuttle bus for 30,000T. The public bus ride from the hotel to the city center takes 1-1.5 hours and costs 500T each way. Depending on the search site, the airport may be displayed right next to the hotel, but please note that this airport is currently not in use.
