"Location: The hotel is located across from Lake Te Anau which also leads to Manapouri which is our intended destination for Doubtful Sound cruise.
Parking: The 2 BR cabin was conveniently located at the front of the park (which is huge) and parked right in front of the cabin.
Rooms: The cabin is split into 3 distinct areas - 1 large bedroom with queen bed, 1 bathroom in center of cabin, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds - since I was with family we had the whole cabin with the bathroom in center of the 2 cabins.
Facilities: It was nice that they have fast Wifi and laundry rooms across the park. Used the laundry facilities and it was well maintained. We also rented their lockers to store our luggage as we had to take an overnight cruise at Doubtful Sound."
"Super huge room however need a long time for the heater to warm up the room.
Very quiet thus u can sleep well till day break.
Flat room throughout thus easy to reach RealNZ for cruise and city centre for meals and groceries.
Bathroom and toilet are a 50m away depend on where you are housed during your stay thus a bit challenging during winter.
Mike and Christina, the General Manager for Tasman Holiday Park, are extremely kind and helpful thus helped earned a lot of respect and points for this stay however no respect the owner of Tasman Holiday Park as he sucks in personality imo."
"I was pleasantly surprised given the outside exterior was rough run down however inside was tidy.
The room was small however adequate and had a nice view of the lake.
The shower head wasn’t great spraying in all directions and water went hot and cold. The bath was good and relaxing.
They could have better pillows firm pillows as the ones provided were quite soft.
However for what you pay it was adequate and served its purpose."
"Clean, warm, friendly and good location. We stayed in cabin with private bathroom. Shared kitchen facility available and staying at site gives you 10% discount at diner across road. Not fancy but very reasonably priced. Free car park. 5 min walk to lake, restaurants and supermarket."
"It's a small bungalow, run by Chinese. Check in at the front desk of glowworm restaurant. The restaurant said that the chef is from Intercontinental Hotel, but it's really expensive to eat Chinese food in NZ... You can park your car in front of the room. The bed is big and soft, but the room is a bit dark. Mid-March is the end of summer and the beginning of autumn. It's a bit cold at night, so I have to keep the air conditioner on."
"Excellent! The hotel was spotlessly clean and tidy. It's beautifully situated right by the lake, offering picturesque surroundings. Being conveniently close to Milford Sound is a great advantage, as it allows you to easily drive there and secure a free parking spot. On top of that, the accommodation is much more affordable than staying in Queenstown."
"Excellent location, clean and hygienic, complete air conditioning and heating
The space is also large enough. There is no layering outside the parking door.
The shared factory building is large enough and has plenty of cooking equipment.
There are two washing machines and dryers (charges apply)
A five-minute walk to the city center
You can walk to the supermarket within ten minutes
Highly recommended whether visiting Te Anau or going to Milford Sound
High cost performance"
"I was surprised to find a hotel like this in this town. The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was plentiful, which the kids loved. The hotel is right in the heart of town, making it convenient to everything."
"The boss is very nice, he is Chinese. You can book various day trips with the boss in advance, which is very convenient. The room is very big, the kitchenware is very complete, and it is convenient to go to Te Anau Glowworm Caves and large supermarkets. It is a very quiet town."
"This environment is very good, the public area is very large, there is a rest area and an entertainment area, the bathroom is large, the transportation is convenient and easy to find, the atmosphere is really warm. I will come back later and recommend it to my friends."
