Amazing
GGuest UserThe room details stated that children were welcome, but when we checked in, we were told that if we added a child, we would not be able to book the room (because the child slept in the middle and did not need an extra bed, so only 2 adults were added during the reservation) and we had to cancel our reservation. They said the hotel didn't want so many guests and that the law didn't allow it. Finally, we were asked to pay an additional 30 dollars and were given the key. They originally added a $30 child fee (which would be completely understandable if they had told us directly), and we got the feeling that this hotel hated children and discriminated against Asians. The whole check-in process was very unpleasant. Overall facilities are acceptable and the location is good. But due to the bad check-in experience, I was in no mood to appreciate the beautiful scenery. Negotiations to cancel the stay were made throughout the evening, but to no avail. The manager had a tough attitude and did not apologize from beginning to end, which ruined my good mood for the whole day.
ZZONG XIANThe location is very good, right by the lake, and it is very convenient to buy things.
The service staff is also very considerate and delivers milk. The price is very affordable and the CP value is very high.
I will stay here again next time I come to Te Anau
GGuest UserWe spent one night, having driven down from Wanaka and intending to continue to the Milford Sound tour the following day. Donna was very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed and were comfortable. The history of the building was fascinating, and the antique decor and trinkets added to the charm. Breakfast the following morning was great- wonderful scrambled eggs. Thank you!
GGuest UserThe room is very nice, clean and spacious. The car can be parked directly in front of the room. The plants at the front desk are also very beautiful. Overall, it is cost-effective. It is a good choice for a one-night stay. Suitable for family travel
SSharon CochraneGood location, easy access to restaurants and supermarkets. We visited Milford sound by car, and joined a day cruise for Doubtful sound visited, both were very enjoyable.
The ensuite room didn't have any cooking facilities, not even a microwave. If you want to cook anything, you need to go to a shared kitchen, and pay for the use of pots and pants.
Washing machines and dryers are availible, also need to pay for using them.
朱朱The hotel has plenty of space and good service. I washed the pots and bowls for me. I'm sorry. The parking is very convenient. After dinner, I can eat at the small counter outside the door. It is very pleasant
GGuest UserLovely warm clean comfortable motel. Fantastic shower and lots warm bedding. Just a teeny disappointed we didn’t see any staff or management our entire stay of three nights. Obviously staffing shortages in the area but would have appreciated a friendly face at some stage.
GGuest UserThe door lock to the bathroom is not working. Light in bathroom is flickering. Need some maintenance. But good thing is it is very clean despite the old hotel. Location is good too.
XXinxilansidaoGaryhuanxinshizaiThere is basically no service in foreign hotels. No one at the front desk left the key in the envelope and searched for it for a while. It would be better to specify the method of collecting the key when booking, especially on rainy days.
GGuest UserWe got a basic cabin (our room didnt have a personal ref. other rooms beside ours had one.
Overall, our stay was great (we even got to see the clear sky with stars in the evening from the camping ground). The shared toilet is great-- clean and with many stalls; also has hair blower available). The shared kitchen is busy during peak hours-- you might want to bring your own pan or pot since the ”nicer” ones are usually being used.
