"The hotel is right by Lake Te Anau, just across the road, offering stunning lake views as soon as you step out. Parking is convenient, and the room size is medium, perfectly adequate and clean for a tourist stay. There's no elevator, so carrying heavy luggage upstairs was a bit strenuous. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety of food, and the restaurant is nice. The hotel is about 700-800 meters from the Chinese restaurants in town, which is reasonably convenient."

"This was the best holiday park we stayed at in New Zealand. The rooms were clean, and the common areas were spacious. There was even an oven, so we could have a barbecue. The location is also excellent – right across the road from Te Anau town center, close to the lake, and with a large supermarket and petrol station nearby. Definitely a place I'd want to revisit!"

"Please inform customers before you change the rooms for them. I had booked mine for the bath, then you gave me a different room on arrival, not even explaining why you had to change the rooms. So I had to see staff at the reception again after checking to sort it out. In the end, i got the room with the bath.I am sorry to say that your place smelt musty that is not right for accommodation for the health and safety reasons. I have also found mould in the bathroom you might want to look at. Hope all gets sorted soon. Thanks. Best."

"It's about a 12-minute walk or a 3-minute drive from the busiest street. The facilities aren't brand new, but they are quite clean and tidy. The front desk staff were very welcoming when I checked in and even upgraded my room. If you plan to stay, I recommend booking in advance, as they often sell out on weekends."

"The motel is located directly in front of the lake, it offers a great view from the rooms. There are also deck chairs and tables where you can have your meals there while looking at the lake. Room is very clean and spacious. I will definitely come back again."

"Overall, this accommodation was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The unit was very spacious, well-maintained, and spotlessly clean upon arrival, which immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease. The layout was practical and suitable for both short and longer stays, with ample space to move around and relax.
One of the biggest advantages was how easy the place was to locate. Clear directions and a convenient location made check-in smooth and stress-free, especially after a long journey. The surrounding area was also quiet and pleasant, allowing for a restful stay.
Cleanliness was clearly a priority, from the rooms to the common areas, which we truly appreciated. Overall, this accommodation offers great comfort, convenience, and value. We would definitely recommend it to others and would not hesitate to stay here again in the future."

"The staff are generally friendly however the service is not up to expectation. We are suppose to checkin at 2/3pm, and had a confirmation called from the hotel in the morning. However, when I arrived at 4pm, I was told that it’s not ready and they need till 5:30pm to have the room ready. The place was under renovation and it’s messy and dusty, but the room is nice and clean. Overall it’s good with nice view."

"Although the individual sites are a bit small, the facilities are great, complete with a garden featuring lettuce and even a pizza oven!
It's a shame we couldn't fully enjoy the sauna. It takes time to heat up, especially if no one used it in the previous slot. I recommend checking if it's already on from the previous session next time."

"Very convenient location, a few minutes walk from shops and restaurants and the lake. Spacious room and comfortable bed. The terrasse was a plus as we could sit outside. Car park free just outside the door which was super convenient too."

Donna was very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed and were comfortable. The history of the building was fascinating, and the antique decor and trinkets added to the charm. Breakfast the following morning was great- wonderful scrambled eggs. Thank you!

GGuest UserThe boss is very nice, he is Chinese. You can book various day trips with the boss in advance, which is very convenient. The room is very big, the kitchenware is very complete, and it is convenient to go to Te Anau Glowworm Caves and large supermarkets. It is a very quiet town.

GGuest UserI would have given this a 5-star rating. However, I deducted one star due to staff behaviour and a fire alarm that went off at 5:00 a.m., requiring guests to evacuate the hotel.
Additionally, the staff could benefit from some customer service training, particularly in showing warmth and empathy toward guests. When we visited the front desk at 12:30 p.m. to enquire about an early check-in, the staff member was not at all understanding or accommodating. She bluntly say “No” and kept looking at her monitor without any reason.

YYoyo CHLove this place very much. Very clean and spacious room, there were elderly friendly toilet & bathroom ( we had another bathroom with bathtub).
The kitchen is well equipped. The view overlooking the lake was superb.
Jetty to glowworms just in walking distance (1km). Numerous restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance as well (1-1.5km). You can just park your car in the apartment and walk slowly along the lake to enjoy the stunning scenery.

GGuest UserThe worst hotel in a 10-day trip. It's called a motel, but there are no kitchen facilities, and there is no public kitchen. The sanitary facilities are in poor condition, the faucet splashes, and the shower gel in the shower room is damaged. It usually receives Chinese group tourists, not suitable for self-driving tourists. The restaurant serves group dishes, and the price of a la carte dishes is very expensive. The chef is from Hebei, and the dishes are salty. The only good thing is that the guy at the front desk is very enthusiastic.
