Very interesting house, we were arranged in a carriage, yes, a room converted from a train carriage, very unique. We arrived very late the night before and couldn't find the way to check in. This is the best room I have stayed in during this trip to New Zealand!

The drive to the sound takes two hours, and there's a self-service gas station nearby, making it very convenient for refueling before departure and back in Queenstown. Overall, the stay was excellent.

The hotel proprietress is enthusiastic and will introduce you to the surrounding situation, introduce the main attractions on the way to the fjord park, help us ask about the local traffic conditions, and take care of driving slowly and pay attention to safety. Most have showers, so you can only stand in the bathtub and shower, and the toilet is in the bathroom next door. To be honest, motels are everywhere in Te Anau. But in high mountain areas, it is not too demanding.
