The hotel is in a great location, very friendly check in and clean lobby area! The gym had several options for cardio and weights, workout benches and a cable machine. Small indoor pool and hot tub, which was nice. Cute restaurant with outdoor igloos. The menu looked great but we didn't eat there. Coffee available in the lobby every morning.

I have stayed here before and enjoyed the stay. Was not as pleased this time. The setting is beautiful and the room was very nice but I was not as pleased with this stay over all. I had checked in early in the app and asked for early check in. I was never sent a notification my room was ready, so I arrived at normal check in time. However, once there was told my room was not ready and they couldn’t give me another room because I had already checked in on the app. So I not only didn’t I get early check in but couldn’t even get in on time. No extra points were offered for my inconvenience either. There were kids in the pool during adult swim. Also unsupervised children in the gym jumping on the exercise balls. I realize this isn’t really the staffs fault but maybe monitor a little better and remind parents of the rules.

We were pleasantly surprised by the size of our king room suite. The full sized refrigerator was a huge plus. It did need some attention given to the carpet in the living room area as there are (what looked like) tomato sauce stains and a juice stain. It also needed vacuumed better. The mattress was softer than we are normally used to, but wasn't bad. I think it's the first hotel room I've ever walked into and the a/c was actually on and the room was nice and cool. The breakfast was a normal hotel breakfast, w/o orange juice. Nothing special. My husband said ”they use real eggs and not carton or powdered.” Being a holiday weekend, they were having trouble keeping up with the supply/demand for breakfast. It is noisy at night until about midnight with cars and motorcycles flying up/down the street. Music across the street is also pretty loud.
I cannot say enough about the front desk staff. Matt was extremely nice when we checked in, and he also came up to the room because we couldn't figure out the bedroom TV.
It's only about a 3-4 minute drive to Presque Isle State Park. All in all I would consider staying here again.

GGuest UserThe staff was so wonderful. We were staying for a softball tournament in a neighboring town and had games early both days. The staff had break ready early enough for us to eat and be on our way to the fields. They went out of their way to accommodate our insane game schedule. The hotel is immaculate.

GGuest UserI made a mess of this. Travelled without GPS and I didn’t read the hotel email properly. I was in a rush. Had a meeting to go to and realised there is no reception, no staff. It’s all by electronic door code. Lesson learned. Always read the email. Anyhow, the room is basic, motels are basic! Nothing unusual.

GGuest UserThe room was clean with a nice built in dining table and bench. Cigarette burns adorned the surfaces and carpet as if they had been artistically thought out to compliment the minimalistic decor. A heavy, deep scent filled my nostrils as I opened the door to my room. “What is that”, I thought to myself. Ah, that’s it. It’s damp, dirty dog. As I unpack my belongings, I turn to check the clock but there was no clock in sight. “Thankfully I have my cell phone”, I thought to myself. Then suddenly my nose starts to run and I reach for the box of tissue. Wait, there is no box of tissue. I scratch my head, perplexed, because what hotel doesn’t provide a box of tissue and an alarm clock. Realizing I need to wash my hair after touching it I head to the bathroom to turn on the shower. I grab the only two towels provided and look for the complimentary mini shampoo and conditioner. “Huh? Not again.” I say as I shake my head. There aren’t even complimentary shampoos and conditioners. Fine. I brought my own. After my shower I stand in front of the vanity combing my freshly cleaned hair. I did not want to lay my wet hair on one of the pillows and saturate it so I reach for the hairdryer. Wait a minute. Seriously? There’s not even a hair dryer? I didn’t even bring one because this is always provided no matter where I stay! Disappointed and upset, I decided I would relax with a coffee because coffee can put the most stubborn person in a better mood. I head to the sink to grab a glass and some water to fill the coffee maker for a much welcomed cup. Another problem though, there is no coffee maker. When does this end? Well at least I can iron the clothes I am going to wear tomorrow while my hair air dries. Nope! Wrong again! There’s not even an iron and ironing board. It’s just time to go to bed with all of these let downs. Who knows what else I my discover. Ah! That’s it. A paper thin blanket. So, I say a prayer and thank god that I was not expecting a microwave and mini fridge. In the morning, as I am packing my vehicle a sigh of relief was let out. Thank goodness it’s over. I don’t have to stay here anymore and there will be no more unpleasant surprises. But as I walked from the lobby the essence of wet dog could be found on my clothing at checkout. I am not from Erie nor do I know many people from around here. If I ever do know of anyone who is traveling here, I will absolutely recommend this motel if I do not like them.

GGuest UserBooked two rooms for a family wedding. When we made reservations we asked for and confirmed top floor and adjoining rooms with the side of hotel with a view!! Arrived and got neither request. Hotel is very old/rundown. We first went to turn on AC unit and found complete filth and black- mold like dirt inside. Unit ran loudly, kept turning on and off and circulated air that was not fresh or good smelling. Beds are worn and creak with every movement. Entrance doors to all rooms stick causing opening and closing to be very loud and disturbing. Walls are very thin and lack any insulation- you hear everything in hallways and other rooms. Toilet has huge stains, shower/tub was scuffed, chipped & stained. Walls throughout room are chipped, missing trim work, and filthy. Overall feeling of everything being stale and NOT clean. It’s as though you are staying in an old hunting cabin and certainly not worthy of what they are charging. This location needs a complete renovation or just torn down. Approached front desk twice about concerns- once upon arriving (asked to have AC sprayed down and wiped clean while we were gone, and again after getting back late from event, to address other items. Nothing got changed and NO help offered with issues.

GGuest UserOur family of 5 (ages 7,5,3) and grandma stayed here overnight this past Sunday into Monday. We chose this hotel because it is connected to Splash Lagoon and were able to get a great deal! We had a great time! The biggest pro is that this is hands down the best bang for your buck if you are looking for a fun family trip (especially to an indoor water park). We have done Great Wolf Lodge and Khalahari, and I would say this was the best. The hotel is conveniently located off the highway. It is connected to Splash Lagoon. The six of us stayed in a two queen bed suite that included a kitchenette, pull out sofa, 5 x2 day water park passes and a great free hot breakfast for $353. BOOM! The hotel is clean, the rooms are clean, the staff is super friendly and accommodating. There is plenty of free parking and free wifi. It is connected to Splash Lagoon and central to a bunch of area restaurants. The breakfast was delicious and it was free! They had omelettes, French toast, fresh made pancakes, sausage, hot and cold cereals, yogurt, fruits, coffee, tea, juices, milk, assorted breads, etc. My only small complaint is check in is not until 4pm and checkout is at 11am. However, the awesome front desk staff was able to give us an extended checkout at 12:30pm - which was a huge help to be able to get two hours in at the water park and use the room to get dressed before checking out. Overall would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel who worked to give us a great stay!
