"This was the third stay over a 10 year time span. Every stay the hotel has been friendly, and clean. This time was no different. However, to my surprise there was an added parking fee of $29 per night. This caught me as odd since our previous stays had not charged for this convenience. Going from free to $29 seemed rather obnoxious. The person at checkin pointed out the small print in the reservation that stated the upcharge for parking. I have to admit I didn’t even look for that as I hadn’t been charged for parking the previous stays. Lesson learned."

"Everything was good except no pool. It said it had a pool online but actually there isn't one. Parking is also across the street, which is kind of annoying. Everything else was great. Close to OMSI."

"We got there super late coming in from delayed flight from JFK one night! We’d been cruising Mediterranean for 15 days and had already flown for 17 hours. I had a late check-in Standard room booked for my Sister and I who badly overpacked and had 5 heavy suitcases of various sizes. I chose Holiday Inn @ PDX as it was close by the Airport AND offered shuttle service! With the help of the Shuttle driver we managed to load everything but our carry-on luggage on the cart. Checked in and were given the key to our room on the 2nd Floor. Laboriously we made our way up to 2, managed to get our suitcases outta the elevator with the fast closing door and made it to our assigned room only to discover that the “key” didn’t work—no amount of re-insertion would convince it to, either; so my Sis went back down to the check-in desk and was given a key to a Suite on the 3rd Floor! We made our way up to that suite of rooms and were greeted with an exquisitely dark & dreary mostly dark brown but well appointed two room Suite. The rooms were clean, but the Holiday Inn in th location if VERY OLD, and they’ve done y their best to offer amenities to accommodate and make up for the aged old place. The Coffee Maker didn’t work, but everything else seemed to. The King Bed was super comfortable but the carpeting is old and unraveling and the living-room wall heater burned its way through a travel bag that help my brand new never worn Natica Puffy Jacket and the carrying bag! Didn’t know it was even on. Good place to crash for a night or two, but no longer. Bed was super!!"

"The location is good and the staff is friendly. The bathroom is too open, so it is a bit uncomfortable for couples. And the sink is next to the room, so it was a bit inconvenient. Other than that, I am satisfied overall."

"The hotel is very conveniently located, with various small shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel has a fully equipped kitchen for cooking. The hotel has an underground garage. Portland is not very safe at night, so it is still safe to park the rental car in the underground garage."

"I really enjoyed the spaciousness of the room. It was also very nice to have such a neat and tidy space. Breakfast was your standard fare, nothing too fancy. The pool and hot tub were very enjoyable amenities. Overall, a very pleasant stay!"

"First time in this hotel, quite good. Good location, good room, separate shower and closet, coffee maker in room. No parking, but there is a valet service. If you bring car you can park in the next block in Jefferson st, comfortable and reasonable price. Housekeeping and waiting quite slow response for services. Overall happy with the stay"

"One word: Perfect ! Without doubt, the best hotel I have ever stayed without spending a LOT more money. I had a wonderful corner room with loads of light, amenities were outstanding: comfortable bed, big bathroom with good water pressure, amenity kit (see pic), huge TV (which, unlike many hotels was easy to operate), sensible light switches, plenty of power outlets, inc USB on each side of the bed for phone charging, soft robes, excellent plunger coffee maker, fridge, in-room safe, etc etc. I honestly couldnt fault anything. Staff were very good. Bar and restaurant were also very good. I only wish I had more then 2 nights there. Wonderful stay."

"I was disappointed that they gave only 2 bottles of water daily even though there were 3 of us. The room also does not have a fridge and had a safe which did not work. In addition, there was no self service laundrette where we could wash our laundry. The cleaner who did our room did not do a good job with the toilet - I kept seeing the same cotton bud on the floor next to the bin for the whole time that I was there. Also the room size is rather small for what should be able to accommodate 4 persons."

"Great location, very convenient to everywhere! The hotel environment is good, not noisy, and the sound insulation is OK! The hot water supply is stable and the toilet has no odor! The only problem is that breakfast is made to order, and when a large number of business travelers check in, breakfast is often not available in time!"
