Best idea ever to book this stay for the trip to the Grand Canyon. Conveniently located near the south rim with access to merchant grocery, eateries and shopping. Accommodations are quiet, clean and all you need basics! Would stay again.

This hotel shares a check in desk with Howard Johnson’s and don’t try to check in before 3:00pm. Our room was clean but the pillows might have been stuffed with toilet paper rolls they were so lumpy. There is a lot of debris floating in the pool that is also shared with HJ so you have to cross a parking lot to use it. There is supposed to be a complimentary breakfast but when we asked about it we were told it was take out and we were grudgingly handed a bag with a fruit cup, granola bar, danish, and a soggy bean burrito. They could definitely do better.

Hotel was great with a great view of the dam. Breakfast was also good. Staff kept the food containers full even though the place was packed. Nice Job!

The hotel is located in a small town on Route 66 within an hour from the Grand Canyon. It has a swimming pool and a spa pool. It is very suitable to take a dip after a long day of boating. The breakfast is a traditional American breakfast. You can make your own waffles as part of your trip to the Grand Canyon. The transit hotel is very suitable. There are many scenic spots in the town that are worth visiting on Route 66.

I have finally found the perfectly designed hotel room! Not kidding. Hyatt really did design an amazing hotel room. All the gripes over the years I've had with poorly thought out hotel rooms has stopped with Hyatt Place. Whenever we travel after this, we're going to be looking for Hyatt Place locations. What a great room - great bed with nightstands with easy access plugs and great reading lights. The living room has an awesome L shaped couch with a comfy ottoman for putting your feet up to watch TV. There is a room divider between the bed and living area so that someone can be up reading and not bother someone in bed. There is a mini fridge and plenty of desk space . I love all the lamps in the room with easy on/off toggle switches. The bathroom is awesome - tons of counter space, which is nice for women travelers who have a lot of products. A real shower door! That's a plus. We've stayed in too many hotels that have open, trendy showers where you can't get warm in the shower. Thank you for a real door on the bathroom and great lighting. There's two switches in the bathroom, one being a lower brightness light that comes on, which is nice when you get up in the middle of the night. Love the big shelf underneath the bathroom sink for stashing your stuff. PLUS there is a great bar/dining area downstairs with AWESOME staff - we went down every afternoon or evening and hung out and had drinks and dinner. We didn't want to even leave this place to go into town to eat. Great menu - awesome patio with fire pits, comfy furniture and beautiful sunsets. Lots of international travelers made it interesting. Came in with low expectations. Many of the low-middle and middle tier hotels were very pricey or booked out for the weekend probably due to events about town. You get an overall feeling of disrepair of the building; there were big gouges in the concrete in the area we were directed to park. Right outside our room were two plywood panels propped up on the railing that had Danger or something like that written in faded marker. The room furnishings, overall color scheme felt dated and old, the paint was bubbling on the bathroom door and there was trash behind the central cabinet. On the bright side, there were value in the amenities included in the (high) room rate, a large fridge, a microwave, breakfast in the lobby and there was an outdoor swimming pool we didn't use. Breakfast selection was good, a couple of different cereals, toast, bagels, muffins, hot food included eggs, sausage and waffles. There was decent coffee, tea, and a dispenser of apple and orange juice. Unfortunately, the waffle irons were not turned on and both had dripping waffle mix in a mess. Possibly a sign instructing guests would be helpful. The seating area was adequate for the amount of people there around 630Am. We had a room with 2 double beds; the bed was fairly comfortable, there are only three pillows on each bed, it would have been nice to have a fourth. There's a rainfall shower head in the bathroom which had decent water pressure, but can present a problem if you don't want to get your head wet; there were no shower caps provided. The towels were softer and fuller than I expected. There was no box of tissues in the restroom/sink area. Overall, very basic and adequate for our one night stay that was part of a group negotiated rate. Breakfast was the highlight. Not a hint of any luxury though and wouldn't stay there again for the prices we were forced to pay that weekend.

The room is very spacious, although it is not a new hotel, but it is very tidy. There is a game room, billiards and bowling downstairs. When you check in, you will get a $5 entertainment card, which is enough to play two games of billiards. There is a free board game room on the third floor. The hot spring spa gym is also good. The steak in the restaurant next to the front desk tastes good. The portion is not big. Highly recommended to stay
