The hotel is located in the airport area. In fact, it is only 2 stops away from the exhibition hall and 3 stops away from the main railway station. The environment is very quiet, which is different from the many planes taking off and landing around the domestic airport. The hotel environment is average, I have stayed in before, so I did not choose the buffet breakfast this time, there are really few categories! There is KFC next to the hotel and McDonald's opposite the subway station. Most of the service staff have a very good attitude. Unfortunately, when I checked in, a female receptionist who looked like an intern took my Voucher and asked me to pay. I said the money had been paid. She said no. Later, after the Ctrip staff called to communicate, they asked another employee to check that the payment was indeed made. Another thing is to ask me for CITY TAX, my Voucher clearly says CITY TAX INCLUDE, and when I live in other cities in Germany, I only need to fill in a form that is because of the business coming to Germany, and I can exempt CITY TAX. Das Airport Hotel Cologne liegt an der Autobahnausfahrt Troisdorf, ist gut zu erreichen und im Motelstyle. Die Entfernung zum Flughafen schnell zurück gelegt.Wir bekamen als Award Kunde ein Upgrade auf ein Buisnesszimmer, das war für eine Nacht ausreichend groß, hatte ein kleines, sauberes Bad.Check in und out schnell und einfach. Frühstück bekamen wir nicht, da wir schon um 4.30 Uhr das Hotel verlassen musst um zum Flughafen zu fahren.

The hotel is quite central in Cologne. It also has probably given the possibility to breakfast directly in the hotel the reservation. After a long hard journey we had a pleasant enough checkin, but after having paid a lot extra for booking first class rooms, we were told that the first class lounge was closed. I asked what was the point in paying sky much more for first class rooms, and I was told the rooms have coffee machines. For the price difference I could have gone and bought coffee machines, but frankly I am not interested in a coffee machine, I paid for the rooms so we could use the lounge, so I felt ripped off. My room was boiling hot, and the air conditioning does not work. They sent someone to the room, but they could not get is below 26 degrees. They changed my room to a much smaller one, but it was a bit cooler. I came back to my room having left the aircon on all day and all evening. It was still very warm. I chose this hotel as it is described as air conditioned. It is not air conditioned at all. I could not sleep, it was too warm. I called reception and they brought me a fan. I am so disappointed to have not had what I expected, and most annoyingly the room was described as air conditioned when all it really has is a noisy fan. I should ask for partial refund for our two rooms, they were not worth the money. Then, the service at the bar was terrible. We ordered a round of drinks, it took more than half an hour to bring three beers. Not busy, just really slow.

The location is good, near cologne main train station and close to the river. it's very convenient. Rooms are big enough, but gyms kind of small. Hotel has is very big and like a shopping mall. I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast also good.

The room is big enough, clean and the transportation is convenient. I will stay there next time

Very pleasant hotel for a one-night stopover. Spacious free parking. Friendly staff, both at reception and in restaurant. Nice room design, single room was spacious enough and bed fairly comfortable. I loved the restaurant: great food (in particular dinner, but free breakfast was quite nice as well) and they have nice outdoor seating (backside, away from the main street). Only downside was that they had major issues with air-conditioning and the whole system was not working (hopefully solved soon as I was told a technician would come next day). In the first room I got, the aircon kept making an annoying noise (even turned off). Fortunately, reception gave me another room (still no aircon but at least no noise). The last room on the 3rd floor had huge windows which could be opened like doors, so the room cooled down sufficiently during night anyway.

We were in the restaurant for coffee and cake, which was reasonably good but when we left after spending €32 we had to pay €5.40 for the hotel car par. We expected, the car park would’ve been free of charge in view of our consumption in the restaurant. Unfortunately there was no possibility to come to an agreement on a heylower , more adequate parking fee.

Well, the apartment is good, a bit bigger than a normal hotel room, but by no means ample. There are some irritating failures of design: Most pulling knobs are difficult to pull, being a smooth cylinder or similar. Only the fridge door has a proper pulling shape, so they were aware of the usefulness of the design, but chose not to do it on the rest. Also, the microwave has a grill, but also a notice on the door that says never to use the grill because it will start the fire alarm ??? Easier to buy non-grill microwaves, I'd say. They have something about fire alarms, because they make you sign a document where you declare to know about them and specify the fines for setting one accidentally. It discourages you from cooking at all :-) Also the bed can be raised and you get a sofa . The bed surface is one plank, it's comfortable, but the two ”arms” of the sofa are long and hard, easy to hit in the night if you rise from the bed. But these are generally minor inconveniences. The apartment looks clean in general, but there was a big exception. We noticed during the first night a strong old-sweat smell when in the bed. Investigation proved it to come from the mattress protector, which was also a bit brown when we took the sheet out. Clearly it hadn't been washed. I don't know what is the general policy in hotels about mattress protectors, but this one was obviously dirty, and they didn't wash it. We didn't take the issue to the management, we were tired, we just took the mattress protector away and slept without problems afterwards. So we don't know which would have been the reaction to this. but that shouldn't happen anyway.

The hotel is located beside the train station. There are many restaurants nearby and the cathedral is not too far away. The staffs were a little weird. They tried to be funny but maybe something was lost in translation and made us feeling uncomfortable. One of the staffs didn’t understand our question in English, but instead of trying to understand our question, she insisted her answer which left us more confused. Another staff completely ignored us when we were trying to talk to him because he was “busy” doing something else behind the desk although he made a lot of uncomfortable jokes at the beginning.
