3-Star Hotels in Colombo

Stayed in Colombo for the first time in a while. The building itself is a little old, but the hotel is beautiful. The doorman at the entrance? He was a very nice person. One Galle Face Mall is also within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious. I want to stay again.

This upper-end hostel provides a good environment to meet fellow travellers. The staff were very friendly and offered me baggage storage for a few days free of charge. The bedding and bathroom are clean, with free drinks provided at the lobby. The hostel is also centrally located in Fort, with souvenir shops and the Dutch Hospital being a stone's throw away. Airport pickup provided by the hostel is slightly pricey so I would recommend visitors to use Uber/Pickme instead.

Went to Sir Lanka with a bunch of friends, Alex and his team really took care of us. Super friendly staff, and a great little restaurant right there! Hope to see you again in 2025! Since it says I have to have 200 characters to write this review, I'll just have to say..... here you go!! ha ha

Hello! I am a guest who checked in on September 24, 2024. During this one-day stay, I had a very comfortable experience. The hotel's accommodation environment is very good. If I come next time, I will definitely choose the Chinese Family Hotel. Accommodation environment: The whole environment is very warm and bright, and the design style is Chinese. Pros: -there's welcome drink -decent/neat room -recep agreed for an early check-in (around 6am) since we will do an early check out (7am) -centrally located -easy access to stores, restos, money exchange, etc. Cons: -value for money? -no free toiletries -no coffee or tea contrary to what is advertised -wifi is poor -buffet breakfast is poor. (ate a small portion of cereals only as nothing else was palatable) -few mosquitoes in the room so better be ready of a repellent. Otherwise, try to kill the mosquito😁 -i dnt have any photos to post

The hotel facilities are equivalent to the domestic three-star level. The price of more than 700 is not cheap. The room is quite large and has a sea view of the Indian Ocean. There are no advantages other than this. The breakfast is a bit perfunctory. The breakfast ended at 10 o'clock. When we went to the restaurant at 9:40, there was almost no hot food to eat. We could only eat some bread. I guess the restaurant waiter couldn't stand it and made us an egg roll. The overall service was disappointing. I called twice to ask for slippers. When checking out, I was delayed for half an hour because of the breakfast charge. All kinds of things were not smooth.

Stay here for transit only before heading back to Maldives. Nice and big room. Affordable. There was some renovation during my stay, and was too noisy during the day. There are many cafes and restaurant close by. The Front Desk is a nice one. Hot shower is not that hot enough or is that my skin (?) Haha. But overall, is worthy.

My short trip to Colombo is not compete without stopping by Fairview Hotel for their signature Nilaveli Lagoon Crab Curry + Roast Pan dish. The visit is as iconic as visiting a national monument 😂 Under the careful watch of Mr.Siva and his brilliant team, it was once again a memorable feasting experience as my last one in Feb 2020.
