Dont know what people expect for a budget hotel. Went with a friend to get away for 3 nights. Rooms 102 was old but spacious opening onto quiet area to back of hotel but was fine. Room clean, bed clean, didnt see a cockroach or any insects at all. Food was basic but plenty of choice for a 3 night stay. Didnt stay at hotel in evening as went to costa tequise which also was very pleasant. Overall we found all staff friendly, mario at front desk very pleasant and helpful, bar staff quick to serve and friendly. Overall great value for a few days in the sun with no complaints from either the pool or the local beaches, all lovely.
Apartamentos Santa Rosa

Apartments clean, modern & spacious. However our balcony looked out onto a dual carriageway and could be seen from those walking along the main corridor due to a window positioned in a bizarre place! Pool freezing in October so my children (aged 5 and 1) only really dipped their feet in. Such a shame that it wasn’t really used and also that it is saltwater. Not a great choice food wise at the hotel so we ate out. Also not enough going on for children - playground too small and 1 night there was a disco for 10 mins. Improvements need to be made. Costa Teguise itself is a quiet, family friendly resort.

If you’re looking for a family oriented hotel with lots of entertainment for your little ones, this hotel is great! I stayed here with my 6 year old son in the October half term, the hotel grounds were very clean, it’s located a short walk from the beach and there are plenty of restaurants in the area. The hotel staff were pleasant but I didn’t get an overall welcoming feeling from them. I had booked a family suite but was placed in a bungalow (which was my fault as I didn’t check this part of my booking confirmation until check out) and the bungalows were located in an area of the resort that had minimal signal and absolutely no wifi. During the day this wasn’t an issue as were busy but in the evening once my son had gone to sleep, it would have been nice to watch a movie or something and I’m a single parent, I couldn’t just leave my son so ended up just going to bed when he did. I mentioned the lack of wifi in that area and the lady at reception said they were aware of the issue and waiting on maintenance to come and fix it but it remained unfixed for the rest of the week. All inclusive at this hotel is ok but the main food hall gets incredibly busy and you’re left queueing for 15 mins+ to get seated at dinner. It’s like feeding time at the zoo as there are children running everywhere & very noisy. However, the food options were nice. As there are lots of restaurants within a short distance of the hotel, I would recommend self-catering as a better option. There is also a smaller bar which serves chicken nuggets, chicken strips, burgers, ice-creams etc. The entertainment is by far the best thing about this hotel, there are singers & dancers by the pool, there are characters who come out & dance/play games with the children. There are 3 pools and a pirate ship, the pools were quite cold but you do get used to it. There is a disco or some sort of evening entertainment every night & then entertainment for the adults afterwards. As we were there on the week of halloween, they put on arts and crafts for the children that were halloween themed. They also have children’s clubs and a small park on the complex. There are excursions you can book at the hotel also, we went on a half day short excursion to the Timanfaya volcanoes, a camel ride and visited a vineyard. This excursion was great, the tour guide was very knowledgeable, funny and even the kids enjoyed it. Overall, a lovely hotel in a lovely area. There are a few things I think that could have been improved upon but if you want a child friendly resort for younger children, this is a great place to stay.

I just want to reassure everyone who are planning on visiting soon, that our 1 bed apartment is SPOTLESS huge in size and has gorgeous views, the staff have been super friendly ensuring our room was ready for us hours before check in time. I plan to update on our departure x

My wife and I stayed at this hotel from 27th November 2024 until 7th December 2024. Our first impression when walking into the hotel reception area was….WOW. We were in a superior double room on the fourth floor which had beautiful views of the pool areas and also the sea, it was spotlessly clean with a massive comfortable bed. All of the staff including the cleaners, reception, bar and restaurant staff were lovely and friendly and nothing was a problem to them. We were all inclusive and the food was kept hot with plenty of choice and a good choice of premium spirits at the bars. The hotel entertained on an evening were all top class performers. To sum up….a fantastic hotel. We would definitely recommend it and we will definitely be back.

Where do I even start with this hotel. For the life of me I can't understand why it seems to be the majority of people are raving positively about it. I was there in March and only just now getting round to writing a review. To expect people to stay and pay good money to this dreadful place is an insult to people's intelligence. We checked in and went to our room the furniture was extremely dated. The kitchen was basically falling apart and there was rust everywhere. It was disgusting. The bedroom door would not close properly as it was sticking on the floor. The curtains where falling off the living room window. We complained and had to fight to be moved. We where moved the next day and this room was no better. Doors water damaged, curtains trailing on the floor. Brown spots on the yellow curtains in the bedroom looked suspiciously blood stains. The backs of the curtains where covered on black mold. This was right beside the bed. At night we where very cold as there was only a sheet over our beds. We had to use our towels over the sheets to stay warm. There was double duvets but this was unsuitable and to heavy for single beds. At night time there was a constant banging noise, sounded like a door on the roof area. This was every night. Again the kitchen poorly maintained and very little utensils. The plug in the kitchen was also very lose. The furniture was fit for a bomb fire. Very worn and marked. We did complain but go where. Also complained to Jet2 but unfortunately everywhere was booked up. The hotel manager lady and the staff where extremely rude and just didn't want to know. The whole lack of people skills was disgustingly embarrassing for this ”hotel” It was absolutely disgusting and is no way to treat paying guests. The area around the pool was very unkept. Hopefully since my stay they have discovered what a paint brush is. Paint work of walls etc was flaking off. The pool area was not clean. I only seen them once out cleaning the area down properly with power hoses. The pool itself had algae growing around the ledges into the water. It made be gringe that parents where letting their children swim in it. The paddling pool was not very clean looking. The bottom of it looked like it was all stained by algae. I watched a cleaner use a mop and bucket to clean the tiles around the pool area. He never changed the water and dumped the dirty water into a drain beside the paddling pool. Leaving dirty water around it. Regarding the pool area it was a free for all regarding the sun Lodgers. People where expected to lift off heavy sun longers themselves. Regarding the accommodation blocks these should be condemned. The window frames don't fit the walls properly. Allowing wind etc to blow through. They don't look safe and in no way meet EU regulations. Never in my life have I stayed in such a dreadful place we just wanted to go home. I have stayed in much better hostels in my student days. Do not stay in this place. It is such a shame as it is so
