Visited today for santas grotto, was lovely and quiet, was the only people in our time slot which was perfect for our children with additional needs as they were comfortable. Santa was brilliant and the children had a good amount of time with him in his grotto, they then got to do some activities afterwards including raindeer food with the elves which was brilliant with them and they made it feel so special for them. The place is decorated beautifully and the staff in the main hotel were lovely and got us a table afterwards for some drinks. The presents were brilliant for the money. Overall brilliant value and a brilliant grotto. Thank you old hall hotel! Xx

No breakfast provided even though it was paid for
Hotel was lovely looking and the room was nice too. However, we paid a rate that was supposed to include breakfast. When we went down for breakfast we were told that the chef wasn’t in work that day so the only things available was panini or toasties out of the coffee room. The food looked like it had been there for ages and I paid for an actual breakfast. We weren’t told there was no chef until we went down for the meal. I feel we should have been charged less as at no point were we told that breakfast was no longer an option. We ended up finding a local cafe for breakfast.

Overnight stay
Hotel was easy to find. All staff were friendly and very helpful. We were returning late in evening and night staff was prompt in letting us in.
Room was spacious, comfortable and clean.

First class customer service, comfort and food. Could not have been made more welcome or been better provided for - bed extremely comfortable, rooms and whole hotel exceptionally clean and beautifully furnished. Our meal was very well presented and perfectly flavoured. Have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. We were also there as part of a family event where again food, attention to guests and customer service was excellent.

Such a lovely stay for one night here. The lady on Reception couldn’t do enough for me after I explained I was having a quiet night away for one. The staff member offered to move my room to the back of the building to make things quieter for me and took the time to explain all amenities in my room. She was warm and approachable which made for a much more positive guest experience. Will definitely return again in the future.

We held a celebration of life for my father here. The staff were lovely and attentive. The food was brilliant. It was a beautiful room and it was a lovely and intimate function. They provided a large screen that played a selection of photos for us, which made the experience even more personal. There was plenty of parking for all the guests. I would highly recommend having any event here.

Perfect function venue lovely building and nice setting. There was plenty of space and a generous foyer/reception bar area. Great catering and attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend for any private function or wedding venue.
