Arrived at 9am for a full day spa as a birthday treat for my daughter. We got our welcome bags and went to changing rooms. No towels!! Great start. Went to the hydro pool area which was pleasant to start with then it got very crowded and nowhere to sit back and relax together. Extremely poor signage and too many corridors to mention so easy to get lost. Communal toilets were absolutely shocking, damp walls with peeling paint above sink (photo), extremely dusty lampshade on corridor walls (photo) which are at a height to be cleaned easily. Dirty mirrors (photo). Spa glass absolutely filthy (photo) so makes me think how really clean is this place? Restaurant food was mediocre, not very hot food and raw potatoes. The glass bottle that our still water came in was so dirty with scale that we left it. The only nice thing was the roasted red pepper soup. After lunch went to the water relaxation area, and was able to get three water loungers but it was like laying down in a large cupboard. No lights except fire exit light and it was as cold as being outside. I thought spas were meant to be warm and inviting but Tring was completely the opposite. The corridors and spa areas were so cold you had to submerge yourself in the pools to keep warm. We then had had enough so we went to get changed before having a warm drink before we leave. I couldn’t even have a shower as the corridors outside of the shower doors was so flooded that my flip flops were submerged and it was so dirty and unpleasant with used towels and dressing gowns just dumped on sides and floor as there was nowhere else to put them as bins were full. The list can go on but will say I won’t be repeating a visit nor recommending this spa to anyone.
