We loved our stay there. The hotel is very beautiful with great views. The villas are very comfortable and spacious, pool is great and you can even see some wildlife from your villa. The food at the hotel is great, dinner specially is very fine dinning, it surprised us positively. The staff is very kind and attentious, always doing their best to please us and take care of our needs. A special thank to our butler Dilanka. For sure we would come back if we have the opportunity again.

Had a truly relaxing stay. The staff was patient and attentive to all our needs. The villas were quite spacious and reasonably priced. Perfect for a family getaway! Special thanks to Dilanka (our butler) who ensured all our needs were met during the stay.

We were there for our honeymoon,during which there was card promotion that had attracted some hooligans who played loud music in public areas and not behaving appropriately . The management did not do anything about it despite the several times I complained to the staff that it’s interrupting my fist dinner after I got married since these hooligans were having a loud karaoke session near the main pool using their own Speaker . My table was set up near the pool . It was very surprising as to why the hotel even allowed the usage of the pool to these hooligans at night after closing hours. It came to my understanding the above group was known to the general manager of the hotel hence a special allowance for his friends were given to behave in such a manner regardless the disturbance caused to other inhouse guests. The service is stiff . We need to pay additionaly 10,000 rupees in order to use the steam and sauna to my suprise this is not the case in any hotel I go in the world . The standards have dropped a lot since 2017 when I first visited there. I will not recommend anyone to go to water garden Sigiriya .

What a fabulous place to start our Sri Lanka tour. 2 nights here was perfect. Amazingly large pool villa with comfortable bed. 10/10 for customer service. Had 2 massages which were great value very effective. The food was great and enjoyed the Arrack tasting session. Loved the 25m outdoor pool with an amazing setting. Close to Lion Rock and Minneriya National park. Would highly recommend to others.

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at Water Garden. The two bedroom villa had plenty of space with its own pool. The food was tasty and was from a set menu, was adapted to suit the guest. The staff were very attentive though did not intrude on privacy. The view from the grounds was fabulous with the Sigiriya rock in the distance. The spa was also delightful where I enjoyed a relaxing massage. Something that stood out in this property is the attention to nature and serene surroundings. Staying in the villas is expensive, but you do get a great experience. A butler assigned to each of the villas is available for the guests. This was our second stay at Water Garden. Would definitely recommend if you are after quiet serenity, privacy and exploring the rock and Minneriya nature reserve.

This was the best holiday my husband and I have ever had it was perfect from start to finish. We were treated like royalty off the staff nothing was too much trouble for any of them. The housekeeping were brilliant, the waiters, the reception, the bar staff, the chefs, the food was 5 star it was beautiful. There are not enough words to tell you about our overall experience at this place, the wildlife was spectacular, everything from crocodiles to peacocks, owls, beautiful birds including birds of prey, you didn’t really need to go anywhere although we did have many trips but came back to the water gardens each day. We stayed there for 14 nights and it was the best thing we ever did. If you’re not sure where to stay we can’t recommend this place enough. I have terminal cancer and if I can visit there again before I’m too ill we definitely will. Thankyou to you all for such a wonderful experience with beautiful Sri Lankan people you really are something else ❤️

Beautiful accommodation, more like your own private appartment than a hotel room. Best accommodation I’ve stayed in in Sri Lanka. Great service, food and all staff fabulous. Butler service throughout stay and buggy service provided to restaurant daily. However, we were not offered the free bicycle tour nor the complimentary 15 minute neck back and shoulder massage which was disappointing.

This hotel is unbelievable! It is beautiful, you can see lots of different animals from monkeys to peacocks to even crocodiles! The staff was amazing and helped with every thing we needed! We even decided to stay an extra night and they made sure to accommodate our last minute decision! I have felt so attended to and have loved every second of staying here! It is also close to Lion’s Rock and so many other activities!

A very good hotel with excellent staff and super service. If we are in the area we will surely go back. Thamidu was extremely attentive. Dhananjaya, our butler, was always on hand and extremely helpful. If you stay here ask for a room with a view of Siguriya - there are three or four with uninterrupted views, and you then have the joy of watching the snakes of people climb the rock in the distance across fields with lots of bird life and the occasional elephant. The hotel grounds have Monitor Lizards, IBIS, Kingfishers, storks etc, and.....crocodiles.
