The Hotel was beautiful we visited during the evening for Dinner it was absolutely majestic. The food was delicious alot of variety. We ordered Pork Ribs and pork belly and Fried rice. It was the best pork we had in years in Tanzania. Service was amazing. Chef mama and Chef Ranjith the food prepared by them and it was sooooo Delicious. Thank you white Sands Team.

A jewel in Dar es Salaam
We loved White Sands Resort. We were six people in two one-bedroom apartments with a connecting door, just perfect for us. The kitchens were convenient, however one was not stocked at all and the other just had a few plates and a couple of forks and spoons. We didn't plan to do much cooking so didn't say anything about it, but probably the staff would have responded had we asked.
Otherwise, the stay was perfect with excellent air conditioning and two pools plus lovely beach walks to choose from. Breakfast buffet was remarkable and got us started each day!

Schöne Location mit schmutzigen Zimmern
Gut: große Auswahl beim Frühstück und lecker. Auch Service immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Schöner Pool Bereich.
Schlecht: Strand schmutzig, es wurde aber versucht diesen sauber zu halten.
Sehr schlecht: die Zimmer. Schmutzige Bettwäsche, die Flecken hatte. Dazu Kakerlaken, die Nachts über das Bett gewandert sind. Kein Spaß! Mussten das erst der Rezeption verdeutlichen, dass das so gar nicht geht.
Alles in allem hat sich das Hotel über die letzten Jahre leider deutlich verschlechtert.

Our stay at White Sands Dar es Salaam was deeply disappointing. While the check-in was swift with beautiful palm trees and well mowed lawns everything went downhill from there. The toilet wouldn’t flush in our room we had to use the restaurant’s washroom .The restaurant itself was another letdown. The couches in the bar area ( near the tv area especially the right side of the TV) were so dirty that we were hesitant to sit on them. The worst part of our stay happened later that night. My husband was bitten by bedbugs in our bed. BEDBUGS! For a hotel that big to have bedbugs is appalling! When my husband reported the issue to housekeeping, he was redirected to the manager. The manager’s response was dismissive, offering an extra night as compensation and follow up😂typical of him. The beach by the hotel is so full of plastics it us forming a hill it’s not on them but the people who trash the ocean. However, the follow-up never happened. My husband even provided his email on what looked like a blank Excel sheet, but unsurprisingly, he never received any correspondence. It felt like a complete brush-off and frankly an insult to us as paying guests. This stay was not just disappointing but infuriating. I cannot recommend this hotel and will not be returning. We checked out and went to stay at Ramada ….beautiful review coming up!!

I recently stayed at Whitesands Hotel with my family for a night in one of their apartments, and the experience was exceptional. The apartment was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully equipped, providing the perfect combination of comfort and luxury for a family getaway. The staff at Whitesands were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that all our needs were met promptly. The serene beachfront location offered stunning views and easy access to the ocean, which was a highlight for both the adults and kids in our group. The hotel also boasts excellent dining options, with a variety of delicious cuisines catering to different tastes. The breakfast spread, in particular, was impressive—fresh, flavorful, and diverse. The facilities, including the pools and recreational areas, were well-maintained and provided plenty of entertainment for everyone. My family and I left feeling refreshed and eager to return. Whitesands Hotel is truly a gem and comes highly recommended for families looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

The resort itself was nice, however it is loud and the service is extremely bad, waiting almost 30min for beverages when it's empty. The customer service was poor and only 1/10 staff speak English ( we are bilingual) causing a lot of incorrect orders. All in all it is absolutely not worth the 1000s of dollars we spent on it.

The beach had so much trash from the city. It was impossible to swim in the ocean. I am shocked that this hotel has not been shutdown just purely from health concerns.
