The furnishings in the rooms are old and not well maintained. The drain in the shower was clogged and the water didn't drain at all. Breakfast is 500rs per person, which is not good value for money. Other than that, it's a really nice hotel. The owner is kind, the guard always greets you with a smile, and the location is good.

Just can’t rate the Thikana highly enough. We stayed for over 2 weeks in the lead up to our son’s wedding. Hosts and staff couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome- they even decorated the hotel on the day of his wedding. All my son’s friends came over to help get him ready and were made to feel welcome even though they weren’t guests. Breakfast was delicious, with a variety of breads, cakes, cereals, waffles, omelettes as well as daily specials. Rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. I will definitely be returning and spoke to many guests who also return regularly. Thank you for making our stay so special

Excellent place to begin exploring India
Lovely homestay! The room is clean, comfortable and quiet. The home is inviting and breakfast is enjoyed with the other guests. The staff is kind and attentive. The owners are amazing! They helped us set up reliable transportation from the airport. This was something we found other travelers throughout our trip had issues with. They guided us as to where to get a SIM and exchange money. And they provided us a contact to set up train travel. All these things were done with true care and not in the unfortunately often exploited “I have a friend” way that one comes across when traveling. They answered so many questions that popped up during our travels. We ended up staying again on our return trip through Delhi.

Very nice hotel, very well decorated with a beautiful rooftop. The staff is top notch with delicious breakfast served in the morning ! The owners are really kind and Sheetal will share many of her great tips in the city ! Definitely a must go !

The Thikana has become my husband’s and my home away from home in Delhi. It is by far our favorite place to stay in the city. The owners are extremely warm and welcoming, the staff is professional and courteous and meals are delicious and fresh. Delighted to wake up each morning to strong, fresh brewed coffee! We love sitting around the breakfast table and meeting the handful of other guests from around India and the world. The bedrooms and the bathrooms are spacious, clean and cool (on the hot days). We highly recommend staying at the Thikana. Thank you and we look forward to returning in 2025

Durant notre voyage de deux mois en Inde, ma femme et moi avons trouvé ce havre de paix bienvenu à Delhi. Lors de nos deux passages, nous y sommes arrivés épuisés et en sommes repartis tout à fait reposés et heureux. Plus que tout, l’accueil de la part de la famille est tout à fait extraordinaire, familial, chaleureux, élégant ! Le personnel quant à lui est très professionnel tout en étant extrêmement souriant et affable. Enfin, les chambres sont exceptionnelles, décorées avec goût, parfaitement équipées, et les lits difficiles à quitter. Bref nous nous sommes vraiment sentis comme à la maison, sinon mieux, et ne sommes partis de Thikana qu’avec une grande tristesse. Merci !

Ogni pasto è un'esperienza gastronomica unica: sapori sofisticati e leggeri, ben lontani dai piatti pesanti che spesso si trovano in altri ristoranti indiani. La cucina qui è un vero paradiso per il palato. Il Thikana è un piccolo paradiso di comfort e benessere. Siamo stati incredibilmente bene e non vediamo l'ora di tornare. Sarà per sempre il nostro punto di riferimento in India, il punto di partenza ideale per esplorare le mille avventure che questo straordinario paese ha da offrire. An absolute must stay in New Delhi! We stayed one night and wish we had booked more time as soon as we entered the property. Delightfully retro, beautifully decorated with many places other than your room to relax. There's a rooftop garden area and various living spaces to read and peruse your forward planning. Our room was just off the main living area and had a large comfortable king size bed, fluffy pillows and ample space in the room including a spacious bathroom and pretty potted garden outlook. The area is very safe being gated and 'personed'. A well to do neighbourhood. We met Atul just prior to partaking in the offered evening meal which is a must do. Freshly prepared dishes that were all so delicious as was breakfast with good options for both western and Indian. There are also options for snacks in-house if the environment you find yourself in is all a bit too comfortable to leave. I accidentally left a charger the next morning on our departure but fortunately we were returning to Delhi and Atul kindly had it delivered to our accommodation. Lifesaver! I highly recommended the peaceful ambience and general feel of this delightful accommodation. Do yourself a favour.
