This is probably the best value-for-money hotel in Wunongding. The hotel is perfectly situated right at the scenic viewing platform, offering unobstructed views of the Thirteen Peaks of Meili right from your room. The rooftop restaurant also boasts an observation deck outside, so you can snap photos of the snow-capped mountains anytime. The hotel facilities are excellent. A special mention goes to the shower rooms, which have drying facilities – super convenient for quickly drying small items of clothing. Upon check-in, guests receive complimentary welcome fruit, including tangelo and 'ugly apples,' which are local specialties from Tangdui and taste delicious. They even give you local specialties as a parting gift upon check-out, which is a very thoughtful touch. The rooftop restaurant also exceeded expectations and offers incredible value. The food is delicious, and the prices are on par with Feilai Temple, which is much more reasonable compared to other hotels in Wunongding that charge 300+ for a set meal. What's even better is that besides Yunnan specialties, they also serve some Sichuan and home-style dishes. For someone who has been eating local specialties all the way from Kunming, the availability of these non-local dishes was a lifesaver. Finally, one more thing to add: the hotel has an elevator, which surprisingly isn't mentioned in the hotel description or other reviews. For those with limited high-altitude experience, this piece of information is incredibly important!
