Positive points - The rooms were absolutely fantastic and the bed was very comfortable, which allowed us to sleep peacefully. - The very friendly receptionist named "Sraščko" was very professional, helpful and pleasant to discuss with. He was of great help for us in figuring out what to do in the region and booking activities. - The park area around the hotel is very large making it very pleasant to walk around for a morning or evening stroll. - The shower is very high tech and has a very pleasant water pressure. - The hotel provided a little bed and food bowl for our pet dog travelling with us. - The cleaning staff did a great job Improvement points: - The thermal baths was the biggest disappointment. Although the private spa area of the Švicarija hotel (Sauna, Hammam, Ice bath and relaxation area) were very nicely done and pleasant, the thermal bath pools (located in the main hotel of the complex called Vita about a 5min walk away from Švicarija) was not a great experience. In fact, when we went to the thermal baths on our first day the changing area and indoor pools smelt really bad making us question the facility's hygiene. In any case, we had booked 5 nights at the Švicarija and did not return to the thermal baths after that experience, which was one of the main reasons we booked it in the first place. - The food was far from ideal making the whole half board a big disappointment. At breakfast they would offer 5 different kinds of omelets to choose from but they were always waaaay too salty (chunks of salt were found in our eggs) and even after asking to make them with no salt, they somehow were still salty. Furthermore, the machine made cappuccino offered was not good and if you asked for an acceptable cappuccino they would charge for it. Finally when it comes to dinner, the food was offered in a buffet format and was usually not the best quality (e.g. very dry overcooked turkey with no sauce).
