An amazing welcome both by the doorman and the ladies at reception. I arrived at 10am and check-in wasn't until 2pm but the lovely lady checked me in within 30 minutes. All staff were very friendly and polite. The room was inexpensively priced. I chose a twin single room on the first floor and the room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to Souq Waqif and close to a few take away food shops and some mini markets. I was a solo female traveller and felt safe and respected at all times by the hotel staff as well as the shop owners in the area. I walked from Souq Waqif to the Hotel without a second thought. It was very safe. Thank you Royal Qatar Hotel for welcoming me to your hotel. I would love to stay with you again. Wishing you and your staff love and health. See you on my next trip to Doha, Qatar.

Stunning cultural experience, in the heart of Souq Waqif. Fanar Centre Masjid was 5min walk from Al Bidda Hotel. Khutbah in English on Jumu'ah day. Service was friendly and all staff were proactive in helping us. Souq Faleh, Souq Asiri and of course, the bird market were all 5min walking distance from the front door. Buggy service between the little hotels was excellent with kids on board! Food was a bit overpriced, but great quality and freshness. Breakfast menu was top quality. Variety and range includes local menu items, continental and salad bar. Highly recommend visit to the Turkish dondurma guys after 4pm. Good fun with kids. And henna stalls. And the handmade crispy crepes with Nutella along the souq. 5 star hammam maghribi in the Spa inside Jasra. Made was an excellent therapist, taking care to address my skincare and pain relief needs. Beautiful spa with luxury hammam rooms. Cold honey drink, medjoul dates and warm damp towel before treatment was a great touch.
Only a few things could have been better... 1. Small children can be heard crying at night in adjacent rooms. 2. Our washbasin was loose, leaking water in bathroom. 3. No bath tub in our room, although bathtub was listed in amenities on Trip app at point of booking and special request was mentioned in booking.
Overall, this was a great experience with the family. Thank you!

We had an 8 hour layover in Doha and decided to go to a hotel for a few hours between flights. We arrived in the middle of the night and unfortunately they didn't find our reservation. This took about 30 minutes to resolve, which shortened our already very short night. The staff were friendly and helpful and when we finally got our room it was very good. Basic, but nice. After a long flight, it felt luxurious to have a bath and stretch out in clean sheets. We used Uber both ways and it was convenient and inexpensive. I would choose this hotel again in Doha.

MMarinaI normally stay at 4 star hotels when I travel, but I found a great deal on this hotel and decided to splurge. Not sure if the great experience I had there is normal for any Ritz, this region of the world, or any 5 star hotel, but it was very nice and I think I need to do 5 star travel from now on! The hotel reached out in advance by email to welcome me and see if I had any special requests. The room was very large and comfortable, with all the expected technology and amenities. Balcony was small but had a nice view. A plate of baklava was waiting for me in the room. Great toiletries by dyptique. My booking included breakfast and dinner buffet. Lots of variety, regularly replenished, has indoor and outdoor seating (I recommend sitting outdoors - better ambiance and the waitstaff there were particularly attentive). This was my first time doing halfboard and I’m a fan. Any hotel staff I interacted with were very helpful and went above and beyond at nearly every opportunity. The hotel has beautiful grounds and a lot of amenities including a beach, indoor and outdoor pools, spa, numerous bars and restaurants, etc. On my last day after checking out I used the pool and was able to shower and change in the spa facilities. Tried cocktails at the pool bar and B-lounge (one of the restaurants on the property). Very tasty but my experience in Doha (at the hotel and elsewhere) is that drinks there are incredibly weak so it’s mostly a waste of money. I traveled solo and didn’t see any solo travelers at the hotel. Lots of families, couples, business travelers attending conferences at the hotel. I didn’t feel strange but little opportunity to meet people if that’s what you were hoping for. In terms of the hotel’s location, there’s really no where to go by foot but Ubers come quickly,
are relatively cheap, and nothing is that far in Doha. All in all, would definitely recommend staying at the Ritz.

GGuest UserI am with please want to leave positive review for this hotel. Very good location concerning with the beach, malls, main roads. Hotel have a wonderful amenities: nice gym ( I am trainer, I know it), restaurants with buffet and good menu, perfect open space with big pool included umbrellas, sunbeds and sittings for enjoying. There are a lot of amenities for sport: basketball, football, game zones etc. And a big area for the children with equipment. I think this hotel is the best if compare with this amenities and price for that. Amazing front desk management, always positive and helpful. Perfect housekeeping, clean bed linen, it was very important for me. Big thankful I wanted to say to Azhar, he is amazing, very professional and very very kind. (good luck bro). Highly recommended!

WWimThe hotel is a real children's hotel. The children run through the dining room and as an older holidaymaker you cannot eat in peace. The dining room is a real canteen. The servers work very hard and are very friendly. However, there are too few servers to clear and polish the tables. The children (and many parents) leave a large amount of food scraps on the tables.
You don't get a tablecloth or a cloth napkin, as you should in a 5-star restaurant. It's very chaotic. We had previously walked into Rixos Dubai and Rixos Abu Dhabi to see if Rixos would be a good choice for us. Those hotels look much better and nicer. That is no comparison with the Rixos Gulf hotel.
We often saw small children taking food from the buffet with their hands and/or putting it back again!
The reception staff, especially Darezhan, is very helpful! he deserves all the praise!
Mr Faruk from Crust, the coffee bar, is a great person, he knows you by name and spoils you.
Some rooms have no view, this was the case with us the first few days. You then look at a latticework. Mrs. Darezhan then gave us a nice room.
If it is cold and, as in our case, you cannot sit in the evening, the bar with 2 tables fills up quickly. You can't get in anymore!
We had booked all inclusive and walked to the Ritz Carlton for 2 evenings to have a beer there for a fee.

I was at peace because there was a Quran and prayer mat in our room, there's a Qatari vibe to the hotel; architecture, smell (smells gorgeous), staff. The staff are very attentive and theres a quick service. Breakfast was perfect, we had dinner and in room dining service which was perfect and special. We used the gym ( excellent exercise machines) , rooftop pool was perfect with private shower rooms. The spa was amazing, we had a couples hammam. The only thing I'm not sure about is, wether guests can use the sauna and steam rooms as they are in the spa, we got to use it because we were clients there. We also loved the segregation in the spa. It was perfect, we wish we stayed longer, it felt like home, we will visit again in sha Allah. We booked 2 hotels; after we moved to St Regis and missed Steinberger so much, out of both hotels we loved Steinberger and wanted to return. Steinberger scored way better than a well-known hotel resort. Thankyou for taking care of us.

GGuest UserВ это время было достаточно много то ли ремонтных, то ли строительных работ на острове. Постоянно ездили машины, занятые в процессе. При том, что дорожки достаточно узкие, это напрягало, тк нельзя спокойно прогуляться - постоянно вынужден оглядываться, что неудобно особенно с ребенком. И не очень чисто в ресторанах, мы так поняли, что это в цели вопрос Катара. Для того, чтобы у тебя убрали посуду со стола, об этом нужно просить. Под столами могут валяться салфетки, крышки, крошки и т.д. Что, конечно, не соответствует 5 звездам. НО персонал отеля очень отзывчивый не все просьбы, пожалуй, за счет них и остается хорошее впечатление об отеле. Сам отель, кстати, не новый, нужно быть к этому готовыми. Отдельно хотим поблагодарить шеф повара, который готовил кашу и другие блюда по запросу для дочки, что для нас на фоне достаточно однообразного меню было важно. Кстати, об этом. Есть ощущение, что отель заточен на гостей, приезжающих на 1-2-3 дня, питание везде очень однообразное, на завтраки каждый день одно и то же. Поэтому лететь в этот отель на долгий отдых я бы не советовала. А на выходные вполне.

There are large construction sites around, and there are no construction sites in Doha. The service industry is very good, the living is very comfortable, the room decoration is very ethnic style, my mother and I like it very much. The bathroom is a bit small, just a little bigger.
