Coming straight from Safari, our priorities were comfort, space, light, warmth, fine food, and air conditioning (and a hundred other things besides probably). Baraza ticked every box so gloriously that we were overwhelmed. Never before have we stayed in such a beautiful, yet charming and relaxed, hotel. If only we could have stayed longer!

We came here for a week after a few days safari. We were worried we had done it the wrong way round as we didn't think we could beat the safari experience.. but this hotel did just that! We were a family of six or varying age groups and we all loved our stay here. It was fabulous. Beautifully appointed, the decor and furniture were timeless and elegant, the rooms enormous, the beds ridiculously comfortable. Not actually that many villas so the hotel never felt busy even though apparently it was close to capacity when we stayed. The food was beautiful, well varied and a mixture of a la carte and buffet which suited us well. The pool area was very relaxing and there was plenty of comfortable, shaded areas. The staff were so attentive and friendly, and you really felt truly looked after all the time. The beach and watersports area was fun, we tried the reef walk, kayaking and boogie boarding and went on the snorkeling trip which was great. Can't wait to come back! Thank you for such a memorable stay.

We stayed in a room with an ocean view, and would recommend doing that because you can walk directly from your room to the beach. The beach there is a white sand powder that doesn't burn your feet. The room was comfortable and clean, and luxurious to the max. Excellent food, the chef was professionally European trained and it shows. Breakfast and lunch are buffets with ample and delicious choices. Dinners are either buffet or set 5 course menus which some choice. Service and staff were friendly and helpful. We did 2 excursions, one to Jozani forest which the hotel arranged for us, and one on a snorkel trip that a hotel staff took us on, both of which were great.

This is by far a top tier luxury resort. From the moment you arrive your villa host will greet you and ensure all questions are answered. We were most fortunate to have the Amazing Angela as our villa host, who did everything possible to ensure we had an phenomenal experience, which we truly did. On top of the lavish architecture and facilitates, the wonderful staff on resort are the icing on the cake. Nothing is too much trouble, literally before you even ask they are their to fulfill requests you had not even thought of. I will definitely be back to experience the warmth that is being a Baraza guest.

Wow!! Amazing resort and spa. Loved our own villa with ocean front views. It was very large and comfortable. I could live there. It was just Beautiful. 5 stars or above. We needed so R&R from a week long safari and this was the place to do. I can’t recommend enough.

We spent three lovely relaxing days at Baraza after a couple of weeks on safari. It was wonderful. The grounds are beautiful. The views of the Indian Ocean spectacular. The food was delicious. The room was spacious and comfortable. Most important the staff is friendly, gracious and accomodating.

A superb hotel in every respect. Just perfect for a relaxing stay after a busy safari in Tanzania or Kenya. This is a hotel worthy of more than the 5 stars Trip Adviser will allow us to give. Everywhere you look there is attention to detail to ensure guests’ comfort and welfare is paramount. Never have I been to a hotel where I have so looked forward to breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thanks, Luca, you are doing a fantastic job. Thanks also to Angela and Esther who ensured every day, if there was anything we wanted, it was provided without fuss or formality. Entertainment was provided each evening during dinner. It’s worth saying that Management is out front and centre here, again ensuring the guests’ comfort is their first priority. Take early morning walks along the beach and chat to the locals, watch the fisher men and women search for seashells and octopus when the tide is out, swim in the lagoon when the tide is in - use the free reef shoes provided to avoid anything sharp on the seabed - take a trip into Stone Town or visit the local village to see the schools, it’s all hugely interesting. Long trousers are needed at dinner. The gym could do with some enlargement and new equipment installed. But otherwise the spa treatments are excellent and there is an additional lap pool for committed swimmers. We had a beach front villa with reserved loungers outside. It all made for the most relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thank you to all the staff.

Like many people we spent 5 days here to relax after a busy safari in Kenya. What a great choice. Baraza has to be one of the most luxurious beach resorts we have stayed at - not just because of the gorgeous villas, but the space around the resort for the number of guests is amazing. It just never feels busy. For an all inclusive hotel the food is excellent and the delightful staff really are an asset, remembering what wine you like and if you prefer still or sparkling water. It’s these little details that set it apart. Gorgeous view from the beach front villa with your own plunge pool and reserved beach loungers and umbrella. Just perfect!!
