Hotels in Hengdian, Dongyang

I booked a room at Holiday Inn expecting a comfortable stay and the usual quality associated with the brand. Unfortunately, the hotel is currently undergoing major renovation works inside the building as well as on the front and back exterior. Although I was told the construction noise would be limited to 9 AM–9 PM, I was woken up by renovation work at 6:04 AM on my first morning. Even on the 8th floor, there was noticeable noise, dust, and construction activity. The location is good and the staff were very kind, but I would not recommend staying here while the renovations are ongoing. Guests should be clearly informed about the extent of the construction before booking.

Pros: The price is affordable, the overall facilities are well-maintained, and the room size was accurately advertised. The front desk staff were quick to resolve issues and always greeted me with a smile. The location is excellent, very close to Qin Palace, Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden, and Dream Valley. Daily amenities were replenished, and the cleaning staff were very friendly. Cons: The unused breakfast vouchers could not be refunded (unlike the hotel next door). The breakfast selection was limited and the taste was mediocre (I felt it didn't even compare to outside breakfast stalls). On the first day of my stay, the room had a strong dusty smell, I'm not sure if it hadn't been cleaned or aired out, or if it had been vacant for too long. Overall: I'm still quite satisfied, and it's a type of place I would consider staying at again. The attached photos were taken with a wide-angle lens.

Hotel is overall comfortable, staff are very nice and quick to reply to the butler group chat if u need anything. People who stay further from the front desk can also get the tram to pick you up (just have to text in the group chat your hotel location). The hotel is located in the attraction so it's very convenient especially because this specific attraction mainly has night performances. Only down side is the food delivery process is a hassle.

My husband and I stayed at a Hilton for the first time, and our overall experience was perfect. The room was spacious, clean, and odor-free, and the bedding was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options suitable for all ages. The hotel's atmosphere was peaceful, and its location made getting around easy. It was a relaxing and enjoyable stay, definitely worth coming back to.

Super fun! This was one of the theme hotels that were hidden on the Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street set. Appropriately, the Rosslyn Hotels' brand icon is the Landlady from Kungfu Hustle. Upon arrival, you check in at the North Gate's Tourist Services Desk. The concierge welcomed me with a complimentary bag of fresh fruit and asking me to add their butler (Housekeeper Xiao Xiao) to my WeChat. If I needed anything, I just had to text the Housekeeper Xiao Xiao (who was super helpful with all my questions (in English) during my stay). Then the bellhop whisked me away, via golf cart, to my hotel. There were several hidden hotels, with different themes, throughout the set. The bellhop took me through an unassuming door among into what looked like an empty set, and up an elevator to the room floors. The walkway offered a lovely view of the Ming Qing Palace set next door. The rooms were supposed to be themed as Guangzhou and Hong Kong in the 70s and 80s, but could easily pass for old Shanghai. The room was immaculate. The bed was very comfortable, the shower has nice and hot and with fantastic water pressure. The room has some of the largest closet space that I have seen in any hotel. The WiFi worked without the need to register a local cellphone number (I've found that many other hotels, in China, offered free WiFi, but you need to verify with an ID code text to you. The texts never come through to my U.S. phone number, so I have never been able to take advantage of free WiFi; that is until I got to this hotel.) The little details were delightful surprises around every corner. They always refer to guests as ”laoshi” (an honorific of teacher, or master, bestowed to actors) or as ”starlet”. Not gonna lie, I really wanted to take home the pair of the room's bone china cups. The stay also comes with very decent breakfast buffet that had both Chinese and western dishes. They will even make you fresh wontons and noodle soups to order. The restaurants in the park are not great and quite expensive by China's standard. I recommend loading up at the more tasty free breakfast to power through the day. The hotel's location was very convenient for touring Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street; which had very lively evening shows. (As you walk through the streets, look at the stores' signs and test your TV shows and movie knowledge by finding the Easter eggs.) The Qing Ming Palace Set is across the street from the Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street's South Gateon the other side of the park (don't worry, it's not that far). To access the other sets, you can take their shuttle, but it does not come around very often. It's more efficient to get a Didi. Overall, it was a magical stay of being in the movies.

We choose this hotel because the walking distance is 5 minit to hengdian studio. So easy. We arrive at 2am, and the hotel greet us and very helpful. The room is so comfortable with breakfast. I am Muslim, and able to eat side dish with egg, sweet potato, bun,yogurt. We check out, and hotel staff help us when they see we not able to get the Didi. He found out we are still standing outside hotel for more than 15minit. He so helpful.so, we able to catch our train for our next trip. My family so great full. Tq

The room was spotless, and the front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful. It's super convenient for getting around, the bed was comfy and it was quiet, making for an excellent night's sleep. Great value for money, and it's really close to all the attractions and shopping areas. Plus, they offer free parking! This stay was absolutely perfect, and I'll definitely be choosing this place again next time.

The hotel was very comfortable, and the room was quite spacious with good soundproofing. It was the best sleep I've ever had at a hotel. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and the front desk staff were very warm and attentive. Thumbs up to all the staff here! 👍 If I visit Hengdian again, I'll definitely choose Atour.

First off, I have to say, the location of Guibinlou is fantastic. It's so convenient to get anywhere, especially popular spots like Qin Palace, Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival, and Dream Valley (the water park is open now and super lively!). Secondly, the hotel staff are all wonderful. I brought some traditional Chinese medicine with me this trip, and they let me store it in their fridge. All I had to do was make a call each day, and they'd bring it to my room, which was incredibly convenient! Also, the welcome fruit that came with the package included vouchers, so you could pick them up in the lobby daily – the kids loved it! And speaking of breakfast, theirs is actually pretty good. They have mini bread perfect for little ones and, of course, their favorite candies 🍬. On a side note, there's a small gate within the hotel that leads directly to Dream Valley, cutting down on travel time, which is super handy!
