We got to the hotel and we did not have any hot water in our room, so the hotel switched our room saying it was just a problem with the one room, when in fact the entire hotel did not have any hot water. So we all had to take showers in ice cold water. They did not offer us a refund where we could go and stay in another hotel either. It was pretty much sorry, but oh, well. The hotel was really nice and clean, but people go to a hotel for a place to sleep and shower when traveling. Paying a $169 and then having to take ice cold showers is completely unacceptable! And they fact that they knew they had a problem with their hot water and did nothing to attempt to remedy that until the next day after everyone checked out is even more unacceptable. The appropriate reaction would have been to refund our money so that we could find another hotel that offered hot water. It’s a miserable experience after you have had a really long day and you are dirty and just want a hot shower to then have to bathe in ice cold water. It wasn’t even lukewarm.

The stay was very nice. No complaints of room. My only complaint was the neighboring guest. Wild kids jumped, bumped and ran around in room majority of the night.

Great place to stay. Excellent location and wonderful staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I didn't get a chance to enjoy the pool but the staff was incredibly nice and pleasant. Rooms were very clean.

I called ahead, asking specifically for a certain accommodation, after almost double charging my card, I go it to my room and it didn’t have the accommodation. She moved me to room 2FORGOT me in the hall for 10 minutes because she was on her cell phone. The 2nd room was so noisy because of the neighbor. She knowingly put me next to a family who kid had autism. I have nothing against autism but I was there to relax and get away from chaos. Room 3 was filthy, no heat in a winter storm. I went to get a second blanket and instead of cleaning my room. She handed me a bottle of cleaning solution. It was HORRIBLE

Lying, cheating crooks. I made a prepaid reservation to stay here for my son. It was for a week's stay. Upon his arrival, the front desk denied his confirmed reservation because their computer did not show it. "Their system was down." He called me and I provided to tje front desk my confirmation number. They denied giving him a room and suggested he wait. He did. He waited in their lobby for an hour and a half. Again, they turned him down. He called me again and again I spoke to the person at the front desk. He waited again until he heard the front desk tell customers that they jad no rooms left. He went to the counter again and inquired. They told him he did not have a room. He again showed him a confirmation email. They said they were full and did not have a room for him. My son secured a reservation and stayed elsewhere. This property charged my credit card. After numerous back and forth communications, even with the manager at the time agreeing with the facts were accurate and a full refund was owed, the property refuses to provide a refund. Crooks and thieves. Even if you can only find a barn, it beats dealing with a dishonest establishment. To take them to court would cost me more that the money they stole. Please avoid them. If they do decide to refund my money, I will update my post. Good luck to all

Perfect example of looks can be deceiving. Our first room had crumbs under the sheet, stains? on the mattress cover and a bug. Moved to another room and the toilet seat is not secured and also cracked. The dishwasher was not assembled correctly and so the "washed" dishes inside were disgusting. The bathroom sink stopper was stuck down and the rod just comes out. It's not a pop-up. The room smells like the AC needs servicing. Lots of finger prints on the doors tells me they cut corners which isn't surprising seeing how the first room was. I'd leave if it didn't cost me. Will suffer through this one night.

The most neglected Home2 we've ever stayed in. The room wasn't cleaned well at all. There were hairs in the shower/tub. The bathroom floors were filthy. Those floors should be mopped after every guest. The room needed to be vacuumed. To top it off, there were dirty molded dishes in the dishwasher. Very disappointed...

I enjoyed my stay. The room was nice and comfy. The staff was friendly. My favorite was “T” (I believe that was her name) she worked the breakfast services. She was kind and personable very delightful. I also enjoyed the hotels proximity to shopping and restaurants. I will use this location next time I am in Dothan.

I am writing to express my concern regarding the safety and treatment of guests at the Home2 Suites by Hilton location in Dothan, Alabama. My 9-year-old son and I checked in for one night at that property on Tuesday, November 28. We live about an hour away and since he had a holiday performance rehearsal on Tuesday and early show on Wednesday, we decided to stay in Dothan for a good night's rest. What we got was a troubling experience and sleepless night. At about 9:30 Tuesday night, my son and I were already in bed, but I had not quite dozed off when I heard the deadbolt lock to our room click and the door push open. The metal safety latch stopped the swing of the door and I raced to push it shut. There was a man outside the door wearing a tan beanie and tan jacket and he turned and walked in the opposite direction of the elevator. I locked the deadbolt on the door again and ran back to the nightstand to grab the telephone to call for help. I pressed the "front desk" button which did not dial the front desk. The concierge, housekeeping and other buttons were not in operation either. So, I dialed "0." I heard the phone pick up and I was immediately placed on hold with no human interaction. The hold music eventually ended, and my call ended. I dialed "0" again and heard someone pick up the phone and hang up. I dialed a third time, and no one answered. I grabbed my cell and called the number listed for the front desk and the front desk clerk answered the outside line. I asked to please not be put on hold or hung up on again and identified myself as a hotel guest in room 216. The clerk responded in a very defensive manner that no one had hung up on me and then told me my phone was off the hook and setting off an alarm at the desk. I responded that I heard "hold music" followed by being disconnected, but the bigger issue was that a man had just come in the locked room where my child and I were staying. The clerk responded that it wasn't possible for anyone else to have a key to my room unless I gave it to them and that no one else had checked in that room. I told her again, a man unlocked our door and opened it, but the metal safety latch prevented him from entering all the way. She said, "I'm not saying it didn't happen, just that no one has a key. But I'll come up there." The entire conversation made me feel as if I was fabricating the room entry and the unprofessional telephone interaction. At that time, I could see through the peep hole that the man walked by the door heading toward the elevators. I told the clerk what he was wearing, and she identified him as the hotel manager. She said she didn't know why he would be trying to come in our room at that time of night. Then she offered that he had a universal key and may have been checking on a new TV that had been recently placed in the room - that he probably didn't know we had checked in - but that he was the manager, and we were safe. That was the last interaction we had with staf
