When you see the words ‘Quality’ and ‘International’ in the name of an accommodation place you naturally think quality, etc, etc. Especially when the images on the website look fairly good. Sorry, this place needs a name change. I took a photo which pretty-well sums up the Inn. A cracked wall plug outlet, slightly off-centre on a painted tile surface in the bathroom. Even the small plastic plugs that normally hide the screws were missing and it was dirty inside. A very old and tired motel that should be demolished. An attempt to update it some time ago with all tile surfaces repainted, lots of black paint slowly wearing off and concrete stairs & paths really showing their age. Missing crockery and utensils, no real kitchenette area to hold the toaster & kettle, also very old electrical appliances. The room had not really been cleaned properly and someone had been smoking outside with the door open so that it was quite smelly on arrival. The note in the bathroom asked that you be environmentally friendly and hang your towels up unless you want them changed. After one night we naturally hung them up. They were changed anyway. The toilet bowl was dirty below the waterline. Quality room service means workers in white uniforms with trolleys and laundry bags. No, plain clothes workers with sheets draped over the shoulders. On the plus side it was only 800 metres from the Dubbo Zoo so you could walk there instead of taking the car. It was a very large bed which was comfortable, the aircon worked well and the showers were hot. At the end of the day that is what we usually look for. Clean sheets and a pillow. It’s just a pity the rest of the place didn’t match. By the way, our travel companions in another room faired worse than us and were also not impressed.
