Everything we hoped it would be and more. Friendly, very helpful staff and fantastic food and service which started before we arrived. The views across the Exe are stunning and the extensive grounds beautifully kept. We plan to come back next summer so we can use the beautiful pool and croquet lawn. Loved the chilled out vibe in the Poolside restaurant.

We had a wonderful three days at Lympstone Manor over Christmas. We stayed in one of the charming shepherd's huts,located on the outskirts of the property. It had very comfortable bed with good quality bedding and the hut was very well equipped with everything that you could need. The only faults were a lack of storage space for all the superfluous cushions and a rug and some cleaning issues. Our microwave oven was dirty, there was spilled milk in the fridge door, the hut felt dusty and the shower water did not drain away because the shower trap was blocked. We ate in the main hotel restaurant and this was a delightful experience every day, made more special on Christmas Day by us being greeted by chef Michael Caines and then being able to observe him in the kitchen. The food was outstanding. For us, the service was always just a bit slow. A little less time between courses would have been preferable but the service was otherwise excellent and we felt very well looked after. Overall this was a lovely way to spend Christmas and we would certainly do it again.

My family and i visited Lympstone Manor between Christmas and the New Year. The staff were very welcoming and we were able to relax immediately. Service was impeccable throughout. Our rooms were perfect, with spectacular views across the estuary. We look forward to returning next year.

Unkept exterior. Carpets stained throughout the property. Room clearly not expected. Attention to detail missing. Also, had to find someone to order a drink on the lawn.

Amazing couple of days spent at Lympstone. Everything about his hotel is fantastic. The food is fabulous, room was beautiful and all of the staff were exceptional. We didn't get chance to try the pool (weather was a tad breezy!), but next time and there will definitely be a next time! Thank you to the staff at Lympstone for making our special stay very memorable.

Visited Lympstone Manor for a special afternoon tea. The food could not be faulted - the patisserie were exquisite. However, the coffee offer was just a cup of Nespresso which was grim. Range of teas and fruit teas available but how we yearned for a cafeterie of quality locally roasted coffee. Really let down the quality of our experience. Raised it with the staff but they seemed unconcerned.

Wonderful time spent in fabulous surroundings with exquisite food and drink. The Rooms were comfortable and clean with the biggest bed I have ever slept in! My only negative comment is that it was a long way from the toilet to the wash hand basin in the suite
