Chainlocker

Stunning - Stayed in room one with a magnificent harbour view. Room was spacious enough for 2 with everything you could want. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Food in the upstairs restaurant was good with a reasonable wine selection. Breakfast included in the price was again very good with a selection of cooked dishes or continental. The pub is excellent very cosy even when packed!! Will stay again!!

The best place to stay in Falmouth. We’ve stayed in a few hotels and b&b's in Falmouth and The Chain Locker is most definitely the best. The rooms are good, comfortable beds, beautiful bed linen and a cooked breakfast to die for! It’s in such a good position, right in the heart of the town with all the atmosphere. We’d o never bother with anywhere else.

What a fantastic place! We arrived last minute due to another hotel not honouring our booking and it was amazing. The staff are all wonderful, so welcoming. The room was huge with the most amazing view of the harbour. Dinner and breakfast were delicious with excellent service for both. Could not fault a single thing. Thank you for such a brilliant stay

Location was ideal, hotel was lovely, history to the building is interesting, food was lovely, plenty of spaces to find a table as there is a floor above, which is where a really decent sized breakfast is served, plentry of choices. Room was a good size and spotlessly clean. Nice tables outside to watch the boats. There was plenty of parking nearby, we used the railway station car park because you can park and pay, we didn't want to use it at all during our stay, and it was a reasonable charge compared to most seaside resorts. What a lovely place to stay right in the heart of Falmouth. The room we stayed in was so nicely decorated and appointed and had a beautiful view overlooking the harbour. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was very convenient location, being about a 10 minute walk from the train station. . The staff were very kind and helpful. The downside of staying near the harbour and docks is that there can be a bit of noise but not enough to bother us. Falmouth is an interesting historical town with lots of pubs, cafes and restaurants. You can go on lots of walks from the door, or on boat trips and the National Maritime Museum is in this amazing, friendly town.

We stayed in room number 1, Muriel, and loved the room itself, the very comfy bed and the stunning views. It was worth the hefty price tag to be at the heart of Falmouth Harbour and to watch boats coming and going from the comfort of our room. But... we were disappointed that there wasn't enough hot water for a bath (staff apologised but didn't offer any recompense) and that we got a parking ticket for the few minutes we spent taking our bags to our room - our fault for not buying a ticket but it would have been helpful if the hotel info about parking had made it clear that one would be needed, even for brief unloading. Other plus points included friendly staff, a small niggle was the tired and limited fruit bowl presented at breakfast. Overall, so much to like but a little more attention to detail from the hotel would have improved our stay, especially as it wasn't a cheap one!
