這是一個非常好的酒店,有一百多年的歷史,這個小鎮雖然很小也有點偏遠,但是非常精緻,這邊的餐廳很不錯,晚餐很棒

We’ve stayed here in the past but won’t in the future. The Inn is historically quirky. I know that this is part of the point, but it could use some modern touches. Check in is through a jewelry store which is closed at night. We were not told about the common room during check in and had to discover it. There was coffee and sitting area with games plus a communal refrigerator. The coffee maker was just icky! We didn’t use it. Inn is located well for a walk around the fun Victoria buildings in town. Our 2 queen suite had a sitting area but no desk. There was 1 luggage rack and a small drawer & small closet but no dresser. Tiny shelf in bath was inadequate. Available outlets except in the bathroom had to be hunted as they were behind chairs and not convenient. Stairs are super steep and narrow. One needs to park on the street as there’s no parking. Lighting is ok. The restaurant had good fish & chips. Grab & go breakfast was super, but as we couldn’t get it until 8AM, we had breakfast in an excellent coffee house down the street and had grab & go for lunch.
Response from Property: Whoops! We sure hate to lose a repeat guest like this! We'll do our best to alleviate those negatives as much as possible.

Easy check in, helpful and friendly staff, and a clean and comfortable room. We enjoyed our stay and will be back again. Ferndale is a very cute, small town. We enjoyed our short stay there. It’s a nice place to explore and there are many places to hike and kayak just a short drive away. We had a nice dinner at the hotel restaurant.

The room was very comfortable. The restaurant served excellent dinners. The common room is a good idea. We recommend this hotel to friends. We do have one suggestion. - Please offer either cooked breakfast or cooked lunches. The cold meal-to-go that is offered is not appealing.
Response from Property: Thank you very much for being here and taking the time to write a review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. Many of our guests enjoy a walk on the beach, a hike in the Redwoods, exploring the Lost Coast and other outdoor activities. They enjoy taking the Grab & Go Breakfast with them to enjoy on the way or during those activities. We are working on bringing back our traditional breakfast offerings but have not gotten there yet.

Our room was smaller than I expected. We did book a smaller room though. The menu at restaurant was not to our liking so we passed on it. Wish they had Coffee pods, not just tea, always available at social room. For the money a little steep. Nice decor.
Response from Property: We sure miss hitting the "5" level for these guests. We do have many larger rooms, but these folks did choose the smaller one as they noted. We do have unlimited coffee pods available for our guests. There are some in their room for use in the Keurig coffee maker, and many more if they wish to have them. The VI Restaurant (withing the Inn) has a very diversified and delicious menu and is rated very highly among its patrons. It also has a full bar and a great wine list. We would hope these guests come back and take advantage of a little more of the amenities that this boutique in offers.

We went there to have dinner on a Tuesday evening but it was completely closed for a private party. Not even the bar was open for a cocktail! It was very disappointing! The menu sounded good. The Gentleman in the front was very friendly and apologetic, but we had to go down the street to the Mexican restaurant get dinner.
Response from Property: We very sincerely apologize to this guest. The Restaurant was indeed closed that day for a wedding and wedding dinner, and most of the other rooms in the inn were occupied by members of the wedding party. It is very rare that the restaurant is closed like this, but in this case, it could not be avoided. The wedding went extremely well for all those other guests, though, so it's not a total negative.

the linens were lovely and the room smelled very clean, like fresh washed linens. The noise level was a little high due to the age of the windows, and the unfortunate placement of a truck related company across the street. Once past 5:00pm, however, there wasn't any noise to speak of. We didn't even need the thoughtfully provided noise machine. The staff were extremely helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms had plenty of room. Bathroom was unusually large.

The Victorian Inn is the place to stay if you like quaint, well maintained, friendly, historic accommodations. The location is close to shopping and dining. The 15 minute drive west of US 101 is well worth your time to check out Ferndale and the Victorian Inn.
Response from Property: Being off the beaten path is one of the great reasons that we and our village has been able to retain a strong similarity to olden times, when peace, tranquility and friendliness were the norm...and all this with our beautiful natural surroundings. Thank you.

Great room! Lovely inn, lots of dark wood, details from furniture to wallpaper to trim - all wonderful! Beautiful place! Super clean and so so quiet. Helpful and friendly owners gave us suggestions for our road trip north. Ferndale is a gem, highly recommend the Victorian Inn.
Response from Property: Thank you for including us and our Victorian Village in your explorations. We hope you enjoyed meandering through the Redwood National Forest on yoiur way north.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. They made everything so easy. They gave clear directions for late check in and even switched on the heater so our room was nice and toasty when we arrived. The staff and owner were so lovely. The rooms were clean and gorgeous. I highly recommend this lovely spot and the picturesque town of Ferndale.
Response from Property: Thank you, and please come back. Folks that enjoy our Inn and our Village make us feel like we're doing something right.

My adult daughter and I enjoyed four nights at the Victorian Inn in Ferndale, Ca. in rooms 206 and 207, each with a bath and a connecting door between us. The rooms were cutely decorated, with comfy beds, thick carpet, fluffiest pillows and darling wallpapers. The building, from 1890, was built as a bank. The bedrooms used to be offices, so a lot of thought and care have gone into making the rooms super duper victorian looking. The innkeepers Jennifer and Lowell, a very energetic and nice couple, have really done wonders with this building, one of the many victorian houses in Ferndale, a small town with a rich history in timber and farming. There are still cows everywhere grazing in the surrounding fields. Two blocks of Main Street have interesting shops and a book store called butterfat. Butterfat was like gold in those bygone days, when Danish immigrants made quite an industry of it. We dined in the hotel restaurant all four nights, there is also a bar and a tavern attached. Reservations are needed for the restaurant. Lowell will seat you. The waitstaff is great, we had the very attentive Ryan for two nights, Alexis with the open attitude and young Lucas one night each. Everything is very laid back and relaxed. No dress code. I must also mention Darien, a delightful young woman who seems to be everywhere all at once. She checked us in, helped with luggage up the stairs, (there is no elevator) and suddenly she's in the restaurant working as a server or busser. Always with a smile and an easy laugh. It feels actually like visiting with family, such is the vibe. My daughter and I do a lot of road trips, and we love historic hotels, as they usually have a restaurant. After being out all day doing museums and exploring, we do not want to go out again for dinner. The beef bourguignon here is excellent, so are the salads. The menu is not big, but sufficient for our stay. Breakfast is a grab and go with croissant, butter, jam and yoghurt and a couple of energy bars. All the guest rooms are on the second floor, plus a big common room, where you can brew tea and coffee all day. You can put your stuff in the fridge and if i remember correctly there is also a freezer. The rest of the room is victorian, with deep sofas, and lamps from that period. Pretty sweet. Jenny and Lowell have a jewelry business in the lobby where we check in. Its a beautiful exhibit, if jewelry is your thing. Mine is learning about the history of the places we visit, and this dip into the Victorian era, certainly did not disappoint. We loved every minute at this place. Oh, and the redwoods! Also worth a visit. This is definitely one of the places we would really want to come back to.

Charming historic hotel. Though I normally don’t gravitate towards Victorian decor, I couldn’t help but be impressed with the detailed and fine craftsmanship everywhere I looked. Our room was lovely, the bed very comfortable, loved the pillows and linens. The bathroom was period style, clean and spacious. Highly recommend this charming period hotel in the nostalgic town of Ferndale.
