My husband and I decided to stay at a hotel outside the Fes medina, because we had already stayed at a riad in the Marrakesh medina earlier in our trip, and also our guide warned us that it wasn't safe to wander around the medina in Fes after sundown (he also warned us about walking anywhere by ourselves at night). After looking at the various hotel options, we decided to book our last two nights in Morocco at Palais Medina & Spa. It turned out to be the perfect place to wind down at the end of our trip. We booked directly with the hotel, and requested a room overlooking the pool. They gave us a wonderful room (Room 240), which had a king-size bed, sofa and desk area, and balcony with chairs and table overlooking the pool area. Our rate included breakfast, and it was a huge buffet, with lots of different options like scrambled eggs, potatoes, as well as pastries, cereal, yogurt, etc. Although we had a driver and didn't need parking, there appeared to be plenty of secure parking at the hotel (you have to pass a security guard to enter the hotel grounds). We also loved the fact that the hotel is located next to the ”Borj Fez Centro,” a modern shopping mall with a food court, including U.S. restaurants like Pizza Hut, Burger King, etc. (McDonald's is also just outside the mall). We ended up bringing back takeout meals from the food court to enjoy on our balcony. There is also huge Carrefour supermarket on the ground floor of the shopping mall, and a liquor store next to it.

Stayed here as part of a tour. The only nice thing I can say is the location is good and the pool area was nice, I really enjoyed the pool. The rooms are beat up and worn out. The patio door did not lock and neither did the deadbolt. There was no do not disturb sign. Nothing was very clean, towels were ancient. Big crack in the sink so it just had glue slopped into the hole! The service in the restaurant was non existent, and the tables were not clean. The food was bad. Couldn't even go with bread and butter because you can only find butter at breakfast. On the second night we took one look at dinner and headed across the street to one of the many great cafes and restaurants in the immediate area. Stay somewhere else, this is not good!

The service staff are very enthusiastic, the accommodation environment is very beautiful, the Arabian style, the bathroom is very big! As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we provided dessert and tea. The breakfast was exquisite. One day we got up late and the clerk prepared breakfast for us. Except that the location is not easy to find, you can contact the front desk at the approximate address and ask them to come out to pick you up. This is the case in the old city of Marrakech. The hotel is relatively good, but nothing special. The most annoying thing is that wifi is only available at the reception desk, and quite limited / if 20 people are connected, one has to wait for other to disconnect to be able to connect /. The dinner menu at the restaurant is pretty poor and the only dessert is 2 types of fruit and nothing else. Otherwise, the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable.

Breakfast is mainly continental breakfast, and chickpea soup is good. The hotel restaurant is on the 9th floor (the Chinese saying is 10 stories). It is the tallest building in the area. The view is very good and you can see the old city clearly. There is an extra bed in the room, no problem with the children, but the parking lot in front of the door is not big. The shower head in the room was bad, and the staff quickly changed one, but the new second day was also broken. It may be caused by a large water pressure, but the bath was no problem, so I didn’t tell the hotel.

Mrs. Fatima and her staff made our first visit to Morocco an unforgettable experience! We really enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners with traditional food. We really enjoyed the Hamman bath. We did a tour that consisted of a day visit to the medina and one to the Sahara desert, where we stayed in a luxury glampimg and enjoyed a camel ride to see the sunset in the dunes. I recently stayed at this hotel, and I must admit that my experience was less than satisfactory. There were several issues that made the stay quite disappointing, and despite raising our concerns, they were not adequately addressed. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because it was advertised as wheelchair-friendly. However, the lack of water or glasses in the rooms was a surprising oversight, and it affected our overall comfort during our stay. Furthermore, the location of the hotel didn't have much around that was open. This limited our options for nearby dining or activities, making our experience less enjoyable. Overall, the hotel had several faults that affected our stay. While the friendly staff were a bright spot, the issues with accessibility, small lifts, lack of amenities, and limited nearby options left us feeling dissatisfied. I hope that the hotel management takes these concerns seriously and works on improving the overall guest experience to meet the expectations of their guests.
