Lochview House

Another gorgeous stay in a stunning location. It truly is a home from home and our hosts could not have done more for us. Breakfast is fresh and delicious and there are lovely touches for the rooms such as fresh milk for tea. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. We will return.

The Lochview House has very helpful, personable owners. They provide a marvelous breakfast. They also have clean rooms with terrific views overlooking Loch Linnhe. The guest lounge is also well appointed. Because of its location at the top of a hill, the house is especially quiet at night.

Fabulous stay in this lovely guest house with warm and welcoming hosts. Suite was very comfortable and clean and breakfast was tasty and fresh. Plenty of choice on offer with lovely fresh fruit, yogurt and cereals to start. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Cannot recommend highly enough this lovely guest house, set up on the hill overlooking Loch Linnhe. We stayed in the Linnhe suite, and the views out of the big windows were really breathtaking. I was really impressed by all the thoughtful details which showed that someone had really considered what makes a good stay: fresh milk for tea in our room, a snug set up with lots of books about the local area, delicious breakfasts (and the option for an early packed-up breakfast to take with you on a walk), a Tunnock's tea cake each set out on our second day! The jewel in the crown is definitely the breakfast room, with amazing views and light. Our hosts were really friendly and very well informed about the local area too. Lochview House is only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Fort William (although the way there takes longer if you need to catch your breath on the steep hill!) and we happily walked in and out of town for meals, for a boat trip on the Loch, and more. We arrived by the sleeper train and were able to check in early with our luggage which was really helpful. We would love to come back.

A wonderful place to stay. We had a very spacious room with large TV and lounge area. The view from the room was wonderful! The whole place is spotlessly clean, warm and every little detail has been thought of- Pen and Micha are wonderful hosts. It has all the facilities for outdoor folk- great drying room, maps and guides plus the owners have great local knowledge. Breakfast is wonderful and served in an amazing sun room with the wonderful loch view. There’s also a cosy snug lounge so you don’t need to stay in your room if you are having a night in. A few minute’s walk into town gives a wonderful choice of places to eat for dinner or if you order a take away the owners will set a table for you. As a base for the area- ending the WHW, climbing on Ben Nevis, the steam train to Malaig, mountain biking and ski centre and night life in Fort William - it’s a great place to be. We will be back!
