From the warm and friendly welcome to the superb meals cooked with fresh ingredients every aspect of our stay was first class. The restaurant attatched to the hotel is known for its specislist fish dishes but guests on half board have three course meals offered with a choice of dishes which are beautifully prepared and presented. The soups are really delicious. The buffet breakfasts are a daily spread of enormous choice to keep you going all day. The rooms were comfortable and spotless, and were cleaned daily. A lakeside cafe sits opposite ( run by the hotel) where you csn enjoy watching the lske or the amazing sunsets. You would pay a fortune for this quiet, peaceful lakeside location elsewhere. Frau Idinger and her family who run it are really kind and friendly, always there ready to help and sort out any problems. There is a nearby leisure centre with pool and spa if the weather is poor but swimming in the crystal clear lake surrounded by beautiful scenery, from the hotel's private deck ( complete with sunloungers) is a special experience! For the walker and cyclists there are many lovely walks and trails round the lake and beyond. I have stayed at this hotel many times and can just sum it up by saying that it is a very special idyllic 'gem' of an hotel in every way.

I recently stayed at a charming family-owned hotel and had an amazing experience! The warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. The rooms were clean, and cozy. The hotel also had delicious food for breakfast, lunch and dinner with homemade goodies that were simply delightful. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a personal touch and a memorable stay. Can't wait to visit again!

For several years, I have been visiting Salzkammergut and Fuschl regularly. Unfortunately, this year was an utter disappointment due to my choice of accommodation at Seehotel Schlick. While the hotel claims to offer traditional charm, which might appeal to the older guests, as they might think it's a traditional hotel etc., I found it to be quite terrible for people of any age group. On the surface, the location offered picturesque views, but any sense of wonder quickly dissipated upon stepping into the hotel. The creaky floors and glaring absence of toilet seat were just the beginning of the discomfort I encountered. To make matters worse, the mattress provided was of such poor quality and even unclean, making my entire stay an uncomfortable and restless one. Adding insult to injury was the cold attitude displayed by the hotel staff, who appeared disinterested in providing any semblance of warmth and hospitality one would expect, especially from a family-run establishment.

I can't review the rooms but I have just had a very bad experience at the lakeside bar this evening. Having stayed in Fusschal a number of times, my family has been here a few times for drinks etc,. This evening was probably the worst experience I have had at any venue for a while! The staff were rude! I asked to be seated for drinks and was told I had to sit at the back. I found a table and a waiter literally dived on it with a reserved sign. I found another table at the back where everyone else was drinking (not eating). I sat down only to be told the table was needed for people eating! I should have challenged it but I just felt so embarrassed I left!!! We are here for another week as a family of 5 but won't be back. I popped back half an hour later for a business card (so I could complain) and the place was empty!!!! Appalling place!

A feast for the eyes that spreads even further on the palate. Unexpected taste explosions let you go into raptures over a good drop of wine. Hertha, the soul of the house and Hannes, the gourmet in the kitchen, make your heart beat faster. Thank you for the experience. B and B
