Hotels in Galle with Swimming Pools

A very comfortable trip, must go to the beach! The beachfront hotel is really the highlight of the trip. Because it is an environmentally friendly hotel, remember to ask for disposable utensils such as toothbrushes from the front desk in advance.

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay although in some respects it was inferior to other hotels I stayed in on the holiday. The pools were great and so was the view from the room. The room itself was alright - quite basic but sufficient. We did have problems with a leak in the ceiling which was promptly addressed by staff but still a little annoying. In general the staff were lovely: in particular Chamindu in the restaurant, a security guard who called me and my partner over to show us turtles on the beach (sorry, can't remember his name) and the guy working the sunloungers at the lower pool. The weakest part was probably the food. It wasn't bad exactly, it was just worse than the food in all the other hotels I stayed in.

I arrived at the hotel very early in the afternoon, and I printed the order number (English version) of Ctrip, but it was still delayed for a long time. But we upgraded the room type: sea view room (room 206). The check-in experience was still great. Because the previous nights were reserved for special hotels, I chose Asia Leisure for the last night because it is a new hotel in 2018. It is indeed new and I was not disappointed. Meals: Two restaurants, we ordered food and spent 26,000 rupees, which is still very cost-effective. Breakfast is a cafeteria, and children need to make up the difference. Location: 15 minutes walk from Galle Fort, it is very convenient to go there by tutu for 300-400 rupees. Supporting facilities: The sight of the outdoor swimming pool is great, you can see the sea view and the towering ancient city, because it is located in the air outlet, it is only open until 8 o'clock every night. The types of equipment in the gym on the G floor are average.

The infinity pool of Bawa architecture is a wonderful hotel. Many of the customers seemed to be from Sri Lanka. There were many people like honeymooners, but there were surprisingly many families and families. Although the hotel was a little old, it was solidly built and there was no problem with the plumbing. Service outside the restaurant was very good. The restaurant seems to take more than 30 minutes to bring out what you ordered at lunch. And it was a little cold. Coffee for breakfast also took quite a while to come out. Housekeeping and receptionists were very nice.

This hotel and staff were fantastic, I would like to give a special shout to Manoj, sorry if I didn’t spell it correctly, he went above and beyond to help is when we first got there. I can’t speak highly enough of the staff they always greeted you with a smile and were extremely polite. When we first got there and saw it was a set al carte menu I was like I will still be hungry after this but the portion size was more than efficient and was full every day and the tea is delicious. When we arrived the young woman at the desk was very informative and gave us a map of Galle which was a great help. Oh and thank you to lovely you man whom brought us breakfast due an early departure. Thank you so much for making our safe amazing. And the owners of this hotel should be very very proud of there staff I have attached some pics the fella outside the hotel was exceptional also 😊

I really like this one. The mansion of the legendary Dutch navy general has only a dozen rooms. There is no noisy feeling in other hotels and it is very quiet. They are all flat, with a large courtyard in the middle, which is very comfortable. Each room is extremely large and decorated with a sense of history. The beds are oversized and estimated to be 2.2 meters. The dining was good and the waiters were polite. I just met them for Chinese New Year, and in the evening I greeted everyone to go to the yard to set off fireworks.

We had an excellent stay at Ceylon Olive for three nights in August 2023. The warm welcome you feel continues throughout your stay as the staff are amazing that they take care of you with every little help. We were treated like a part of the family from the arrival and the owner Kumudu invited us to have meals together with his family, which was a great experience. The food was amazing with authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. We felt that the hotel was a hidden gem in Galle, with five-minute Tuk Tuk drive away from Unesco world Heritage site of Dutch Fort and stunning Unawatuna beach. Ceylon olive was one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed at. The pool, outdoor shower, stunning rooms, and peaceful environment were among the best. The Galle Fort hotel is a lovely hotel. Rooms are unusual as they are historically preserved but are very comfortable. There is a nice swimming pool in the middle of the hotel quadrangle. The food was very good and the staff we all very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in a central part of the fort so everything within it is just a short walk away. The best place to stay in Galle. I only stayed here for 3 nights but I would love to call this place ‘a home.’ The place is cozy,the room is big and clean. Breakfast was lovely and prepared by Iflal,a manager. Swimming pool is cool. Located very near to Dutch Galle Fort. Near fruit market and local stores. You may take a tuk tuk or even asked a hotel to arrange everything for you. Could not thanks enough for mr. Iflal and his team. They made my stay was so comfortable and I feel safe like home. (I am a female solo traveler) but I really sleep safe and sound in this villa. Whenever you need helps,the staff are there for you and they really gives you the best solution. Feel like home ;) and will definitely go back there again.

The staff and the Hotel manager are so helpful and supportive. They are always smiling and they are so friendly. I feel like staying at my own house. The meals and the breakfast are amazing. I would recommend fried calamari, pasta with jumbo prawns, seasonal salad , all of them are so delicious . If you really like bouitique hotel concept and uniqe friendly environment, this hotel is the best choice for you
