Great place and super nice hosts! Silva Nisolet and Yasith made our stay perfect! Once you get in Colombo then head yo Uga Riva and you feel at home. Their sister hotels in the country offer they same experience. We will surely be back. Thank you!

Een droom van een hotel, absoluut een aanrader. Prachtige kamer in oude Engelse stijl. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. De binnentuin met zwembad is onnavolgbaar. Om de 200 tekens vol te maken zal ik ook nog vertellen dat we heerlijk geslapen hebben in het enorme bed.

From the moment I walked in, Asanga Fernando, the Villa Manager, greeted me with such warmth and simplicity—he really is the embodiment of kindness. The whole team is incredible, making you feel right at home with their friendly and genuine approach. The mansion is stunning from every angle. It's got that old-world charm with its beautiful verandas, arches, and serene courtyard, but also all the modern luxuries you’d expect. My favorite spot? Definitely the pool. There’s something magical about relaxing there with a fresh coconut king in hand—you really do forget about time. The vibe at Uga Riva is all about relaxation and tranquility, and you can feel it in every detail. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s a place to unwind and really soak in the moment. Whether you’re lounging by the pool or exploring the beautiful surroundings, it’s a true sanctuary that captures the essence of Sri Lankan hospitality. A little gem, which is very well run and kept. Very convenient for the airport for either commencing or finishing your trip. Staff and service was excellent. Large room and bathroom all very spacious, large pool, and our door area. Also the food was very good. We will return.

A beautiful oasis! The most perfect place to stay, either at the beginning or end of your visit to Sri Lanka. Fabulous rooms, perfect pool, amazing cocktails and food. Great service. A particular mention to Lahiru who was an utter delight and a complete credit to the hotel. Thank you !!

Wonderful start to our short holiday at the amazing Uga Riva. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped with air conditioning. The pool area and sunbeds are incredibly relaxing just perfect for unwinding after arriving in Sri Lanka or before catching your flight. The food was amazing, and the hotel itself is beautiful and wonderfully quiet. It’s well-kept, green, and has a lovely swimming pool. I highly recommend spending a few days here to start or end your journey, especially since it’s so close to Colombo Airport! The property manage, Asanga, and his team are warm and friendly, offering outstanding hospitality. Thanks to everyone; we will be back soon!!!

This is a gorgeous tucked away property, one of the best we've ever stayed in. The rooms are beautiful, beds wonderfully comfortable and with a shower to write home about. Lot's of special little touches lend to the elevated experience. It's close to the airport, but worth a visit even if you're not flying in or out. Where the Uga Riva really shines is with its service. Staff are unobtrusive, but seem to appear the moment that you think a drink or a snack would be nice. Our butler was highly professional, knowledgeable and very kind. He truly went out of his way to ensure that we had a special visit after airline snafus delayed our arrival. Finally, the food. We had what we both agreed was our finest Sri Lankan meal at the Uga Riva. The seafood was amazingly fresh and beautifully displayed. We talked about it for weeks. Breakfasts were also large and tasty. All in all a very special place.
