The lake view is great, the hotel is large, the breakfast is average, and parking at the door is very convenient. The room is also very big.

Hotell med god beliggenhet i Riviera Gardone, som er en god base for å utforske flere av byene rundt Gardasjøen. Hotellet fremstår litt slitt både utvendig og innvendig og kunne trengt litt kjærlighet selv om det absolutt er rent. Med små forbedringer/detaljer kunne dette vært mye bedre, for eksempel å spyle skiltet til hotellet slik at det ikke ser skittent ut og fikse matta ute for slik at ikke logoen faller fra hverandre, bytte ut pappbeger ved bassengkanten med plastikk/ekte glass og øke serviceinnstillingen blant personalet.

Beliggenheden er det bedste ved dette hotel, men tilstanden er desværre nedadgående efter nye ejere er kommet til. Det samme er servicen. Meget ærgerligt. Men anbefaler alligevel hotellet pga. beliggenhed som er perfekt.

We are sad to see the Grand Hotel close down for 2 years! Having stayed there 3 times, the hotel's situation along the lake and views are amazing, and the team really makes your experience. We hope the character and beauty of the grand hotel are retained in the renovation. Barbara C. and her team could not have been more helpful as we planned our wedding weekend in Gardone Riviera from the US. Barbara went above and beyond to make our experience the best, connecting us with local vendors and planning our welcome party on the terrace of the hotel. I hope she will return when the hotel re-opens!

Do not stay here. This hotel harps back to the 1800’s and not in a good way! The rooms are beyond tired. The dining room is disorganized, untidy where we had to ask for cutlery on three out of three mornings. The hotel does not possess even one iron!!

Positive, great location at the lake and also friendly welcoming staff. It stops there.
This is NOT a grand hotel if your perception on is “Grand Hotel” premium! It’s in a desperate need of closing down for a huge restoration to be a four star “Grand Hotel”.
It’s basically the opposite of a premium!
Absolute not worth the price per night, there are many other options in the area.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is certainly grand- it’s well maintained and in a great location. The staff are exceeding only kind and accommodating. Mirko was a consummate bartender who regaled us with the history of the hotel, including fascinating anecdotes about Sir Winston and Clementine Churchill’s connection to the hotel. I definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Lake Garda!
