Hotels Near In＇S Mercato S.p.a. in Genoa

We stay at the hotel for seven nights. A renovated hotel of excellent quality located in Corvetto Square, very close to the central Ferrari Square, to the port, to 20 September St. and the historic center. Near the hotel transportation to every place and to the airport. The rooms are comfortable, clean and very beautiful. The hotel itself is very quiet. The breakfast is excellent and rich. The hotel staff at the reception and in the dining room are very kind, attentive and cordial. The price is cheap compared to the value and especially compared to other hotels in the area. ****rit Itzak

This hotel was the perfect location for us - super close (within 2 mins walk) of the train station which was fab as we used Genoa as a base to explore the coastal region. Hotel room was really lovely and clean. We had a large balcony overlooking the front of the hotel. Naturally being central to a city it is noiser with the road outside but we found the shutters very useful to cancel a lot of this out. Breakfast was fine and the 2 restaurants available as part of the hotel (or Savoia next door) were so handy. With the main Savoia restaurant on floor 7 brilliant - incredible food & a far reaching view. I'd highly recommend for a stay if you're in Genoa.

We arrived at late night after a long trip, and we have been welcomed from a really sweet guy who helped us to park our car ,and also offered us a beer .. the room was clean and spacious,the hotel is new and has a stylus and smart concept... we had to stay only 1 night but we extend 1 more nite in order to rest and relax before going back home.. the day after we met elder who seems to be the manager who gave us so many informations on what to see in genova and where to eat proper Italian food .. we felt like home,it wasn’t expected,such a great surprise at the end of our road trip through Europe.. definitely recommended .. we will stay again if we will ever come back to genova.. thanks guys

The room was very large for a family of 4 people, a few steps away from the station, top staff. Gentle and available, it seems to be at home.

Great hotel and very accessible to all parts of the city. Good breakfast & the restaurant in the evening was pretty good. Comfy beds, pleasant room & very good service from the staff The only problem I had was that there was no bar, and I was directed to an Italian restaurant 30 yards away to get a beer, which I thought was pretty poor. I think some thought & planning is called for.

We stayed here in March 2023. The room had recently been decorated. You had access to a mini bar (very reasonably priced) and a selection of snacks and a kettle and tea/coffee. There was no safe. There were toiletries provided in the bathroom which was very modern. There was a balcony but not easily accessible. The staff on reception were very friendly and even lent us a charger for one of our phones. They recommended a lovely restaurant around the corner which we enjoyed so much - we ate there twice. The hotel was very close to the train station and as such, we took a trip to Portofino which you should definitely do if you have the time. I would stay here again :)

Beautiful hotel near the station and port. Arrived in late and got a lovely welcome. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was excellent ! Check out was easy and breakfast was good. There is a free luggage storage service too. Overall a lovely stay.

The location is very good, near Ferrari Square, it is very convenient to walk and stroll. The front desk service is good and very friendly. There is a supermarket nearby. The breakfast variety is very small, and I have not seen any change for a few days, and it feels not in line with the hotel's breakfast fee. Stayed at many other hotels in Europe, and the breakfast at this hotel was not satisfactory.

The outside of the building is a ”fine example” of 1980's architecture, i.e. grim! Our room was on the first floor, level with some ”feature” triangles in the roof, which served no purpose at all other than to spoil the view of the harbour! Upon entering reception the feel is very opulent. The reception staff were not particularly welcoming...but we were checking in around 10pm (that being the time our flight had landed). We were rather hoping for some food, but the kirchen closed at 10pm, so all we were offered was a ”Cheese Toastie” (which, although very welcoming, did rather strike me that the Hotel was not ”in tune” with flight times and the potential for guests to be checking in and not wanting to have to find a restaurant outside the hotel at that time of the night! The room was large, but had the air of a Hotel Room which had seen nearly 40 years of good servbice, wtihout a great deal of care and attention taken to its upkeep. For example, the built-in wardrobe/cupboard door did not open properly, there was a large scratch on the ”feature” wood panelling around the room and the tile grouting in the shower was black with mould in places. BUT...on the plus side, the air-conditioning worked...and was not too noisey, the room was big enough for the two of us. The bed was large (albeit a big ”squishy” for my liking and there was a kettle/coffee pod machine so we could make our own drinks. We were there for 5 nights, so it is important - in my book - that if you're payng those kind of prices that the room is perfect...It wasn't really perfect. Similarly, because of its location right next door to the Aquarium, there were a large number of small children there, obviously from rich families who were not massively adept at controlling them. We never ate uin the restaurant in the evening, but did take our drinks onto the terrace one evening, where lots of diners had booked a table outside. A famly with three children under 5 then arrived and they continued to scream, run about the place and generally make a relaxzing space very VERY stressful. We took our drinks inside and I happened to comment in my best(?) Italian that the children were beng too noisey...some minutes later the family came inside...and I thought we were going to ahve to move again, but they went out of the hotel altogether! Unfortunately, we were not able to move so quickly the next morning at breakfast, where there was the same family creating havoc in the breakfast area! Next time we will ahve to fnd a hotel which is ”Adults Only”...Being a father of two (now grown-up) children, we were constantly on alert so that our kids didn'6t cause disruption to anyone else around us...That - however - doesn't seem to be the ”European way”! Location-wise was amazing, right on the harbour quaryside. Due to an unexpected curtailing of a cruise I needed a hotel close to the airport at a decent price and this one fitted the bill. Check in easy. Room on floor 6 was spacious and clean with 2 single beds. TV channels all Italian. You're in Italy so fair enough. Not much round in terms of eateries on foot that I could see so Deliveroo will be your friend. Breakfast not great but it was in with the price so 🤷 Genoa airport is about 150m away so easily walkable which was my main reason for using. Not really close to Genoa centre so will have limited appeal to tourists although there are lovely mountain views to the rear.
