Stayed only one night on route from Cape Town, but fully enjoyed the peace and quietness. Enjoyed a very hearty breakfast the next morning at a very reasonable price. Only drawback is that it’s far away from town if you need to get some food.

Breathtaking views accompanied by staff that excell in their service and treat you with the utmost respect and friendliness. Their restaurant serves up some of the best food I've tasted, anywhere! Definitely would recommend.

Very scenic with stunning countryside views from the ocean to the Outeniqua mountains on a clear day. Sites are large and grassed with drinking and washing water. The drinking water pressure was sporadic and occasionally not at all! Portable braai. Neat and well thought out ablution facility. Last 3 - 4 Kms to the resort is gravel/dirt with some humps. Made the trip with our low slung caravan testing, but can be done driving cautiously.

I found what I was yearning for in a mini-holiday: beauty, nature, cleanliness and the warmest kindness in Charné, Marieta and Thomas. My balcony overlooking the wooded valley was an elixir, I sat, drank coffee, read and rested. My lodge room, all wood, had lovely decor, I love the stained glass window in the gable! The bed was also comfortable and the bedside light good to read by. The little coffee and tea station and the fridge are quite adequate for one's own drinks. The lighting in the whole room and bathroom is very good.

A hidden gen at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains. The service was fantastic and the gardens beautiful. The chalet had everything we needed. Breakfast on the deck was a special treat.The kids loved the pool. Thank you.

Lovely place with extremely friendly and helpful staff- they could not do enough to be helpful and welcoming. The monkeys visiting the balcony each morning were lovely too heheh. Evening meals were of good quality homely style, in big portions. Loved the little touches like the complimentary truffles and sweet wine - plus I have never encountered rose petals in the loo before. There are 2 rooms per cottage unit but I was never conscious of the people in the adjacent room. This is a lovely place - don’t hesitate to stay there.
