Bristol Hotel

Came to this hotel for a long weekend break with my mum. It was fantastically located and only £12 in taxi from airport (we got the bus back the following way from Commonwealth Park - literally right out of the hotel and it was £2.80 for us both - recommend this). The hotel is centrally located to shops and restaurants and only a 40 minute walk to the beautiful Catalan Bay. Our hotel room was spacious and well looked after - although a little dated. We had a twin room with second front room and television. The pool area was lovely and reasonably priced drinks from the bar. Our only complaint was that, on our third day, a different lady served us drinks. Despite a menu with prices, she overcharged us twice and on one occasion (despite us showing her the price list), still overcharged us - couldn’t be bothered to argue but bit of a dampener. She also spent most of her time smoking by the pool, despite signage saying ‘no smoking’. Our only gripe though so can’t complain! We had breakfast each morning and, although basic, staff kept it topped up and were extremely polite and smiley. The reception staff were also helpful in aiding us find things we didn’t know how to get to. All in all. A fantastic little break in a fantastic little hotel!

What a lovely, quirky hotel, the beds were comfortable, the staff was fantastic, and we were able to park right outside the front of the hotel, Which was great as we were traveling with our daughter, Her partner, and our 2 grandchildren, the Breakfast was basic continental, but did the job, and plenty of it, the pool looks great but did not use it as was March (Brrrr) The hotel is ideally located to see the best of the Sights, with the taxi tours and shopping being just around the corner, as well as a great park, just across the road, Would highly recommend, and would stay again.

Breakfast at Bristol hotel on Cathedral square good Spanish (or maybe British, but not French) hotel breakfast….ham, cheese, tomatoes, toast, cereals…great coffee (with hot milk). Our experience here started with the friendly taxi driver dropping us 25 m from the door to save us the expense of driving around a long block to get to the front door. It was appreciated!

The Bristol Hotel in Gibraltar was an experience! Staff was wonderful, rooms very dated, but all part of it! Love the KEY! We only stayed for one night. Short term fine, but I wouldn't want to be there for a week. It was clean and everything we needed. Difficultly getting to the hotel, with very narrow one-way streets. We were able to get parking right out front the hotel door. Great location!! You can walk to everything! Super friendly staff. Visiting a friend in Gib who recommended we stay here. There are narrow hallways and some stairs to negotiate, even with the elevator. Tight with luggage. We didn't have time to visit the pool.

Stayed here for one night and it was a brilliant little hotel , staff were good and rooms did the job, pool is across the street in another building not to big but was good to chill around, it’s in close proximity to shops and restaurants so don’t have to go to far ,definitely stay again
