The difference between a good hotel and a great hotel is the attitude of the staff. We were greeted on arrival by Joanne, who was personable and cheerful. The room was everything that you expect from a Premier Inn:it was warm, clean and bright, with very comfortable bedding and pillows. We chose to eat in for evening meal and both meals were hot, tasty and reasonably priced. They were served promptly by Joanne, who ensured that we had everything we needed. Having enjoyed an excellent night's rest, we went down to breakfast, which was cooked by Les. Nothing was too much trouble for him and the cooked breakfast was delicious. Once again, Joanne was on hand to ensure we had everything we needed and breakfast crockery was cleared away promptly. We have stayed in several Premier Inbs recently and can say with absolute certainty that the staff in this one create a positive, cheerful environment, which makes the hotel stay an absolute pleasure. We will have no hesitation in booking again when we are back in the area.

Premier Inns are predictable, which is their strength. You know the place will be clean the bed will be comfortable, pillows plentiful the shower will be effective, there is probably a bath in the bathroom. Stuff will work. Service is always reasonable but here it was exceptional. It made our stay more enjoyable as we used the bar and restaurant, there being little else in the vicinity. We chose the hotel as a base for for exploring the area visiting the Dockyard and the Royal Engineers museum. We were travelling by train, the station is less than 20 minutes walk or a short taxi ride. There are fast frequent services to London. We used walked and used Uber to get around. The nearest area with any restaurants and nightlife was Rochester, about £12 by Uber.

Great experience -aside from great food and a lovely room, the customer care from Stephen was amazing. I cannot recall some being so courteous, patient and kind whilst helping someone. Stephen is a credit and wonderful advocate for Premier Inn, thank you Stephen

We stayed here for just one night to allow us to visit Chatham Historic Dockyard (highly recommended) which is just a 5 minute drive away from the hotel. Parking was easy but there was a small charge. We had very nice Premier Plus room with a walk in shower, fridge, Nespresso machine and good wi-fi plus of course the usual comfortable bed. Unfortunately the TV only offered very basic channels. Our room was on front (4th floor) facing the road and it was very noisy from traffic for the whole night so we didn't sleep well, I dread to think what it's like on lower floors. I'm sure the noise level could be reduced if better double glazing was fitted. There is a small Thyme restaurant on site and the food was surprisingly good, however there is no separate bar area to enjoy a drink. It was only a short walk to a local Marston pub The Mast & Rigging so we went there for a couple of beers.

Stayed here for work purposes. Room clean amd comfortable. Staff here were amazing especially Les in kitchen, and Sarah, waiting staff. So friendly and approachable. These 2 staff members really cared about excellent customer service. They go above and beyond to make a stay good. All other staff members were excellent, and one male waiter, whose name I can't recall was fantastic. I would highly recommend this place to stay. Thank you for giving us a home from home
