All in all was a comfortable stay, a plus on the breakfast staff so friendly and hospitable. Breakfast was very good, hearty and warm.
Only surprise was I had to pay again at the front desk even though I already did online upon booking.
Yet to be resolved by Trip.com customer service side. I hope it will be soon and I can my refund.

Good location for a walk into town. Meals were good in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Staff friendly

Ok this is a difficult one. I could have marked down heavily for the building work noise and last night the restaurant was closed for some reason. Whilst I'd been notified after I had booked a out the building work there was no way financially I could make any changes do not good. The restaurant issue was worse as a diabetic I needed to fuel up and there's not much in the area. Luckily there was a fish and chip shop nearby, not a great one but adequate. A really good deli/cafe on Crown Street good for breakfast (including Sundays) and other treats. Ok what about the hotel itself. A twenty minute stroll from Central Station but watch the pavements they are in a rough way! Room looked recently updated so nice. Massive comfortable bed and a really nice shower. Unlike others my room warmed up quickly when adjusted the thermostat. Decent reception and staff I met were very friendly so overall if the rate is good I'd be happy to stay here again. I would however compare with central prices as if the difference is marginal I'd choose the city centre option

Unfortunately the hotel (glasgow south) was undergoing building work/renovations and I was woke at 7.45am to machinary being moved me in the floor above, and the noise of scaffolders shouting to each other on the landing and outside the window. Not the lie in i hoped for!

Staff were lovely. But; my room was freezing, checked into my room at 3:10pm, turned on the heating and the room didn’t even begin to heat up until around 6:30pm; renovations going on until about 6:00pm (was warned when booking in the first place so I guess that’s on me); visible cobwebs; you can hear EVERYTHING going on outside, including wind, police cars, shouting, the lot. All in all, kinda miffed I spent £125 on this room, possibly avoid until the renovation works are finished.

Very Poor customer service, staff overall very rude with very poor customer service skills. Made to wait fir over 10 minutes for a table when there was plenty of spaces. Staff made me feel that i was an inconvenience for having an evening meal at the hotel

Staff very pleasant, beds very comfortable. Showers and taps lukewarm at best on hottest setting, nothing like a cold shower to wake up. TV signal very hit and miss. Noise from building work which we were warned about prior, wasn't too bad though. Breakfast lovely and lots of choice. Hotel quite dated, could do with a spruce up inside, have stayed in much nicer Premier Inn's.

Do not come to this hotel when construction work is going on, they allocated me a room under neith the construction going on and from 8am to 8pm every day I was there there was banging, drilling, and loud noises including shouting and dropping tools and furniture. Very poor sleep and it affected my business work and teaching I was doing.

We tried to cancel after receiving an email telling us work would start at 8am and possibility of scaffolding would be outside our window. Because we had been warned that their might be minor noise from work 9am to 6pm we were refused, but how bad could it be? Well if you are not in the hotel between 8am and 6pm it would be ok but AVOID if you are. It felt like the builders were going to come through our ceiling with the noise of hammering and drilling from when we arrived so we left until after they had finished but “bang on” 8am it resumed. Premier Inn should either be giving out these rooms with a large discount or not allowing guests to stay here. Disgraceful!

Terrible, terrible stay. The noise from the refurb was horrific, way in excess of the "some noise" as warned on the website - it felt like the builders might come through the ceiling at any moment. Also, we were told they'd start at 9am, they started at 8am! Unacceptable.

Hotel is having a major overhaul at the minute however I stay here a lot. I use it if George square hotel is full Location is good for motorway but quite a walk to city centre I find rooms are ok but the windows are poor and noise levels are high The hotel seems to be a thoroughfare esp for youth who tend to be quite loud at night and windows don’t help There is parking onsite but it is expensive Food is typical for premier inn and not great except breakfast.

The hotel is undergoing a facelift but it really could do with being updated internally as well. Our room had no door chain & the bathroom door had been hacked at the bottom so the light showed through. Staff could learn how to communicate more effectively & a smile would go a long way. Check-in staff acted like they were doing us a favour, the cleaners expected us to move out the way, especially the lady vacuuming reception. Restaurant staff were rude to other customers who were wanting to book breakfast as as we were sat nearby the constant arguing actually affected our mealtime. Not the usual standard of a Premier Inn

If they offer you room 6 under the arch I wouldn’t accept as they’re having construction work done (October 2024) the skip and chute was located right outside our room window and they were chucking rubble down every morning which woke us up at 6am. Not usually one to moan about cobwebs but when they are at eye level and hanging from the ceiling it’s hard not to mention them.

The staff were cautious and polite and readily available to help. The rooms were spaciuos and clean. My friends and I were wowed by the hotel's hot breakfast. Everything was fresh and tasky, and excellent value for money.
