Good hotel for overnight stay

I have stayed 1 night in normandy hotel. It was my worse stay ever in a hotel in UK.
Rooms are so small you’ll stand from bed and hit the wall,
bed mattress are small sized and old, springs are bent from sides, if you lay in side you’ll feel like falling down,
No lighting on the ceiling just you will get two small bulbs on side of beds and a table lamp,
Everything seems to be broken or ages old
Lifts and corridors look like you are in a ******* hotel
And the best thing in the morning, Someone will start drilling the floor of one level above and you will feel like earthquake.
I was a nightmare for me, my wife and 5month old baby to stay there.
I would never recommend anyone to in this sub standard place.

Excellent hotel Lovely clean room a little small but it had everything you need Breakfast was excellent and looking forward to staying there again after our holiday I would recomend anyone staying here as it is a lovely hotel and thevstaff are wonderful in every department

We booked for one night as we had an early appointment the following morning. Staff were friendly and efficient. We had some food from the bar menu for dinner, nothing fancy just a couple of burgers which were tasty. The hotel is not a modern hotel, but there has been notable updates in some public areas. The room we had was small and a bit tired, the bed wasn’t uncomfortable but during the night, sleeping was disturbed by any movement whether it was the bed frame not sure. It’s a 3 Star hotel it did what we needed it to do.

Overall a great overnight stay. Staff were all very pleasant and friendly. Room was very clean & comfortable. Only one thing that I did not find pleasant was one of the breakfast staff ( I assumed she was supervisor because she was telling the another woman what to do) kept touching her hair, rubbing her fingers through it put a band on the top them the back, this was all happening around the buffet breakfast, also doing it again by looking in the mirror. It put me off eating after seeing that.

I cannot believe the good reviews on here, if this in their minds is a great hotel they need to up their expectation’s, tiny double room, grubby and very old, haven’t see a television this old since the 90’s, it didn’t work either, cannot recommend this hotel.

Great hotel staff friendly and helpful food amazing highly recommend the meatballs for dinner and plenty of choice for breakfast good quality black pudding and sausage very tasty it’s good to have a hotel breakfast that has good quality food

We stayed here for one night on flying visit to friends and relatives. Just what we needed. Easy to find, lots of parking in large car park. Room was quite small and not much storage as is normal for an airport hotel, but this was fine for just one night. We were able to open the window for ventilation which was lovely as it was a warm evening. Comfortable bed and good bathroom with plenty of hot water for showering. Friendly welcome on arrival at reception. Felt comfortable and safe. A great base for our visit to the area.
