The room was clean, and the staff were pleasant. We were late checking in and had no problems at all. We will be happy to stay there again if the occasion should another trip north,

Arrived at hotel on a Thursday, only 3 cars in parking lot. I asked for 1st floor. Was told it was not available. I asked about cancelling and getting a refund. Suddenly, a first floor room was available. Went to the room and the light switch by the door didn't work. The table lamp didn't work. Had to walk all the way to the back of the room to bathroom to find a working light. Upon further investigation, I found 3 missing light bulbs in multiple lamps. I have photos of the mold in bathtub and dirty toilet. Socket by sink did not work, even after pressing reset button multiple times. When checking out, I asked for a receipt or other proof that I checked out on time. Received push-back from desk clerk on that, too. Because room was so dark and I had to use my personal hair dryer in a socket other than the sink area, I accidentally left it behind. I called the hotel 36 hours later, and was told nothing was found. That is not possible as I went from the room to my vehicle to my home-so desk clerk is lying. I had stayed in this same hotel 6-7 years ago. While not great, it was good enough then. This time it was absolutely inexcusable. I tried to leave a review, but could not. I tried to call and give a review, but a language barrier (including the desk clerk) kept me from doing that. All I received from corporate customer service was lame, pathetic platitudes. I didn't expect any refund or other compensation, but I expected to be taken seriously and not handed a company line of BS

Front desk staff, Palak was great. We checked in at a busy time. He was pleasant with each guest and didn’t seem stressed about the line of people waiting who were getting impatient. The room was clean and pillows were Awesome!! And bed was firm and nice to sleep on. And did I mention their pillows are the best hotel pillows I’ve ever slept on! And I’ve traveled quite a bit.

Best place in town for a week of fun with the family, as well as new furniture and clean rooms!!! Very close to all of the fun in town for families needing easy access to the beautiful beach. We enjoyed the stay and will be back next year. The employees were very helpful while we stayed, helping with extra towels, as we played at the beach daily. There were plenty of charging ports for the kids to stay playing games when we rested v.s. only one outlet in other motels around town we have stayed at in the past.

This is the absolute WORST Choice Hotel Room we have stayed at ever and we are Platinum members. We understand that this is a Rodeway Inn and it’s not the upper class hotels in the chain but what we encountered here was nasty, disgusting and completely unacceptable. While checking in, it was difficult to communicate with the desk clerk who spoke very little English and not very friendly. Then when leaving the office my husband slipped on the ice outside the door. Driving around back to our room in the shady parking, it’s not even really plowed. The property really needs to have some upkeep done. The room itself was not cleaned at all. Apparently, they must not have a housekeeping staff. The longer we were in the room, the more things we found and the worse it got. There was blue paint on a chair, dresser and phone(see photo) no coffee maker, none of the floors had been vacuumed. There was debris everywhere. (see photo). The tv and mirrors were dirty(see photo). There was what appeared to be blood splattered on the heater which also had gum stuck to it. (see photos) There was something brown gooey and oily spilled on the night table (see photo). The phone in the room was completely filthy and disgusting too. (see photo) It wasn’t even plugged in. The poor bible wasn’t even safe in this room as it had scribbles and drawings all through it. (see photo) There was some sort of open fuse panel in the bathroom. This does not seem safe. (see photo) The towel rack was broken (see photo) and there were sharp metal pieces left lying in the room. (see photo) The bathroom door was so out of alignment that there was a gap all the way around it. The gap at the hinges was so wide that you could see the person inside using the bathroom. (see photo). The outside of the microwave had something spilled on it and was nasty too. There inside was not any cleaner. It had not been cleaned in a long time. The refrigerator was also filthy and dented (see photo). It was actually full of hair (see photo) There were two beds in this room. One of the beds actually had hair in the sheets from the previous occupant. (see photo) Lastly, as we were turning in for the night, we discover that we can't even use the worth chain lock on the door because the chain is too short to even reach over to slide in the lock. Not that the mount with the tiny screws would hold up to any force, but seriously, did someone even try to make this work? This was the absolute worst room we have ever seen. This hotel should just be condemned, no longer in business and Choice Hotels should remove it from their list of hotels. This room seemed more like a crime scene than a hotel room. My husband wanted me to wait and post any reviews or complaints about this until after we left so we wouldn't be murdered. Not that we could have posted because the WIFI here was impossible to use. This was a huge overcharge and waste of our 12,000 points. Upon leaving… not that we would have eaten anything

The man at the front desk at check in was rude and dirty. Our room was clean but old. Thankfully our room was in the back as up front was the highway and noisy. Our tv didn't work had called and was told would be taken care of, it was not and tv never worked the three days we were there. Told breakfast when booking room. No breakfast. Would not recommend this place.

First room they gave us smelled moldy. My husband started having an asthma attack within minutes. Black mold was visible in the bathroom. The luggage rack was also covered in what looked like green mold. I give the place credit for providing (grudgingly) a different room. The second room (where we actually spent the night) smelled of cleaning products but it didn’t affect our breathing. Despite the smell of chemicals, the room was filthy (see photos). Grand Haven is a tourist town and rooms are generally expensive but this motel was extremely overpriced ($180 per night) for what it was. Frankly, I would not recommend it at any price.

first impression as I drove up was a run down, dirty look. I had used a booking app, and was inside the 3 day cancellation deadline. Check in was difficult as the couple working the front desk had a heavy accent and did not project their voices. Sign posted in office stated no breakfast due to Covid...on-line it was stated breakfast included. I received keys to the room and opened the door. Room interior was nothing as pictured on line, furniture was old, carpeting was old, bathroom was dirty. the only window was filthy, with part of trim/decor missing. Again, on-line pictures did not reflect the reality. I've stayed on old motels, needing to be refurbished, but nothing comes close to this establishment. As mentioned earlier, I used a booking app, with a firm cancellation policy, or I would have left and rebooked somewhere else. On-line check showed a 4.2 star, rating but if you hold on review it drops to 2, which is still too high. Don';t waste you time or money on this establishment until they update, refurbish and improve service, or quality received
