This hostel is of character, it's fairly close to the train station and the house lady is very kind and friendly. It was a really great stay for me 😉

I got upgraded to another room so I was thankful for that ! The room smelled a bit (moldish) even though the guests already there had opened the window but by night, it got better. Otherwise, the room was big and had a heater which was really convenient. I was happy to see a sink in the room but it wasn't usable unfortunately. I thought it would have been nice! The kitchen is well equipped, there are books available in the dining room! Emplacement is very good, close to the train station and a few activities.

This place was so cute! The theme was really sweet and although the facilities were a bit dated, it was still homely

It's a century-old house, a family-style hotel. The owner and his wife don't live here, so they hired backpackers to take care of it. I really like it here. It feels like a big family and I have met many talented and interesting backpackers from various countries.

Booked last minute, I haven't stayed in a hotel with shared bathroom for a long time. Fortunately, there is a sink in the room. What's rare is that a bunch of young people living in the same building are still very quiet and have a good rest.

Facilities are fine, and location is good (McDonalds is just down on the corner). It is very cold in winter, so ensure you wear warm clothes (even for sleeping). It is good value for money- and good for a family group- although you do get what you pay for.

Great place to stay if your in Greymouth and on a budget. Staff are wonderful, facilities are great. Place is always clean and tidy and is very close to the center of town. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

We had a great stay at Noah's Ark. It was raining, we didn't want to camp, and were desperate to find somewhere affordable for our family. The owner was very friendly helpful. It's an amazing old building (a part of Greymouth's Catholic history), and it's great that it is open to guests to experience it. The kitchen is very well appointed, and the lounge areas are comfortable with lots of books, games, instruments, etc. All very friendly, clean and well run. Thankyou, Noah!

We stayed there for 2 nights in 2007, we couldn't go back that far. Must have been different owners and we stayed in off-peak so it was very quiet. It was clean and our double bed room was comfortable. Great historic building with such awesome interesting themed rooms. It was more than fine for us and reasonably priced compared to possibly finer hotels but this was way more homely, quaint and interesting. I believe the kitchen was as good as any decent backpackers. We weren't disappointed as were not wanting a millionaire accommodation hotel but a warm atmosphere.
