Hotels Near Agat Bay, Guam in Guam

Upon check-in there was no power so we stowed our luggage and came back a couple hours later. Room was clean, but only provide towels, no wash clthes or hand towels. No cleaning service on follow on days. Maybe I'm out of touch with reality, but thought they still cleaned rooms daily and provided wash clothes as standard service.

It's a little far from downtown Tumon, so it's a little inconvenient if you don't rent a car, but it's a great option for those who want to use the resort quietly and comfortably as if they were renting it :-) The staff were also very kind. After 2 nights at Riga Royal, I moved to Dusit Beach and stayed 2 more nights, but Dusit Beach felt too noisy. The infinity pool is pretty, and the ocean view from the room is also very good. I did not use dining like breakfast, and the room condition and facilities are a bit outdated. I didn't expect much, but it was much better than I thought. It wasn't too humid and it was moderately clean, which was nice. It's a good value for money hotel!

グアムと言えばオンワードビーチリゾートというほど、殆どこのホテルにしか泊まっていない。 タモンの繁華街から離れていることで敬遠されがちだが、グアムに3つしかないウォーターパークのうちの一つがここにあり、1週15分程度かかる流れるプールや、ウォータースライダー、マンタ、ボディボードを楽しめる波の出るプールのほか、最近はオーシャンZIPという、空中滑空が追加されていた。 ビーチに目をやると、ホテルの前に広がる海が殆どホテル専用になっており、ジェットスキー（$55）やカヌー（先着順無料）、シュノーケルなどもほとんど制限なく行うことができる。混雑度は今回は混んでいるほうだったが、それでも流れるプールに浮いている浮き輪が足りなくなるような混雑はない。国籍は日本人（一番多い）、中国人、韓国人、欧米か？がバランスよくいる感じ。 今回はコロナ入国制限直前の神がかったタイミングでグアムに訪問できたのでその際のことを書こう。 今回もオンワードビーチリゾートのタワー棟を選択。（タワー棟にはタワーラウンジがあり、お酒を含むドリンクと軽食が無料で利用できる。タワー棟へ入るにはルームキーとは別にタワー棟のキーが必要で、これを持てるのはタワー棟宿泊客とウイング棟のジュニアスイートのみとなっているのだ） ホテルに到着するとタイミング悪く日本語ができるスタッフが居なかったので、英語で案内される。ルームキーをもらって、Wi-Fiの接続方法の説明を受けた。その際外国人スタッフ同士が英語で「このお客さん部屋に案内する？」「日本人だからしないでもいい」といった内輪の話をしてしまっていたところだけが唯一のマイナスポイントだが、案内されないこと自体はチップ代が浮くので全く問題はない。（I can hardly speak English.なので殆ど会話はできないが、簡単な英語ならそこそこヒアリングはできるのだ） さて、ちょっとしたハプニングの後、ホテルに到着したのが夕方だったこともあり、手始めにウォーターパークの流れるプールに入る。浮き輪に乗って3週ほどプカプカ浮いているだけだったが、南国特有の強い日差しの晴天に恵まれて、仕事を忘れてリラックス。 部屋に戻るとバスタオルが見当たらないので濡れネズミのまま探していると、タイミングよくホテルのフロントから「何か不都合はございませんか？」と日本人女性スタッフの電話が来たので、神に感謝しつつ「プールから戻ってタオルを探していたんですけど、見つからなくて…タオルはどこですか？」と聞くと「それは寒かったでしょうね、申し訳ございません。もしタオルが無いようでしたら直ぐにお持ちいたします」と言われたので、一応設置場所を確認すると自分の身長より高いところにあったらしい。（あれ、昔からここだっけ？）と思いながら、同時に「何か不都合はございませんか？」と気を回してわざわざ電話をくれたスタッフに感謝。うん、こういった痒いところに手が届くところがサービスとして重要。（決して部屋でうろうろしてるのをモニターで監視をしていて「怪しい」と電話してきたわけじゃないと思う） 夕食は事前予約をしていたオンワードトロピカルBBQ（※コロナの影響で現在はやっていない可能性あり）で、食べ飲み放題の食事をしながらポリネシアンショーを見る。部屋に戻ると前日の睡眠時間の少なさと、飛行機に揺られてきた疲れもあって、死んだように寝る。明日からは本気出す…zzz。 二日目は事前予約をしていたジェットスキーだ。開始時刻5分前くらいにビーチカウンターの受付に行き予約票を渡すと、「用紙が足りない」と言ったことを英語で言われる。なんとなく2枚重ねのうちのお客様用と書かれたほうを部屋に置き忘れたのに気付いたので、急いで取りに帰る。戻ってくるとジェットスキーの説明書きを読めと言われて、表が英語、裏が日本語になっている英語面を見せられるので必死に読んでいたら、「Sorry:)」と日本語面に裏返される。ちょっとおちゃめなスタッフさんだ。得意の斜め読みで「OKOK」と言ったら、「really?　…ホントニィ？（なぜ日本語？）」と聞かれたので「YES」というと、説明書きを裏返されて、「ジェットスキーのブレーキは？」的な事を英語で聞かれる。（あれ、ジェットスキーにブレーキなんてあったっけ？？？と思いながら）「え、ブレーキ？ブレーキなんてあるの？？？」と日本語で言っていたら、「ホラホラー（これまた日本語？）」と言って日本語面に切り替えて、「no brake！」と言ってきた。「やっぱりないじゃん！」と言ったら笑ってたが、なんとなく楽しいやり取りだ。その後、片言の日本語でどこから来たのかを聞かれたので答えると、どうやら一時期同じところに住んでいたらしい。その後、「あのスタッフについて行って」と英語で言われるのでついて行くと、2番目のスタッフからさらに沖の方（腰がつかるくらいの場所）を指さして、「インストラクターのところへ行くように」と英語で言われる。（え、ジェットスキーの説明何も受けてないけどいいのかな？）と思いながらインストラクターのところへ行くと、そこで説明を受けた。もちろん英語だ。海に浮いている4か所のブイを指さしながら、「左回りでブイの外側を回れ」ということらしい。あと、ライディング時間は15分とのことで、その間自由に運転していていいとのこと。なんとなく理解したので、さっそくジェットスキーにまたがって周回を開始。アクセルを吹かすと勢いよく進み、緩めると停止する。日本だと免許が無いと単独走行できないが、グアムでは乗れるのだ。やばい、これ楽しい。何周したか忘れたが、かなり堪能したのと最後にライディングしている雄姿（？）をデジカメで撮影してほしかったので、終了3分くらい前に戻ると、「もういいの？」的な事を言われたので「Very enjoyed!」とカタコトの英語で答えつつ、腰のデジカメに手をやって「Would you mind …」と言ったところで、「okok!」と言われて写真を撮ってもらえた。（海上だからチップ持ってないんだけどどうすればいいんだろう）と思いながら、言葉で感謝を伝えて楽しいジェットスキーの時間は終了。心残りは、出発前に必死で覚えた「Would you mind taking a photo for me?」を最後まで言わせてもらえなかったことか…。その後はカヌーをやろうと思ったが、「既に本日分の予約はいっぱいです」とのことで、プールでスライダーや回遊プール遊びに切り替える。シュノーケルは個人的にできないので選択肢が少し狭いが、シュノーケル好きならいくらでも海で楽しめそうだ。 この日の夕食は「嵯峨野」。実はこのレストランは昔来た時は恐ろしく不味くて、刺身を頼んだら明らかに腐ったようなにおいのものが出てきたのでその後ずっと敬遠していたのだが、最近の口コミで明らかに料理内容が変わっていたのと美味しいということで、恐る恐る再訪を決めたところ、これが大当たり。 頼んだメニューは伊勢海老の鬼殻焼きが付いたカットステーキと刺身などが付いた和定食。う、旨い…。これ下手な日本料理屋より旨いですよ。セットで$50くらいだった

Not a bad stay here, although it was only for one night. The staff was great - friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were well furnished and clean. The only negative was the bed mattress - it was the firmest bed I've ever slept on. If I was there more than one night, it might have been an issue.

Have stayed here many times for work. I just wanted to thank everyone at Hilton for taking such good care of us the past few weeks! I was here for work, and it was a bit unnerving being away from home and family during Typhoon Mawar… but I appreciate the hotel’s constant updates and adaptability! Everyone was working so hard to keep us safe during this very tough time, and it’s truly appreciated! Glad we came thru it okay, prayers for the recovery ahead, grateful to Hilton and all your staff. After booking here the last minute, I read the review and changed my mind. Unfortunately, there's no refund so we are stuck. I figured, we can just give it a try and have plan B to change hotel on the next day. Upon check-in, our receptionists was young yet professional and friendly. It was busy with line of tourist awaiting to check-in. However, we didn't have to line up with the crowd as we were taken by another person on a separate area. No line. So our check-in was a breeze, which was already a plus. The staff was always cheerful, chatty and helpful. They even holler from the distance to say good luck to my son who was on his way to his Jiujitsu tournament one day. I thought that was cool of them to acknowledge that. Our room was lit, nicely decorated and comfortable, with 2 full beds. Everything was clean and had everything we needed - fridge, TV, etc. The bathroom was clean, full of amenities; shower with strong pressure and hot water. The parking was convenient for us who rented a car for the weekend and it's free. I like that I can just get in and out without having to worry where to park or pay for parking. The parking is also covered, within the hotel building. Really convenient esp. it was raining that weekend. There's a couple of fun restaurants in the building too, one is gaming bar with music. The other one was Tony Roma's which we went for dinner one night. We had guest who came to visit us and we sat at the lobby talking while enjoying the music from that gaming bar. It was an overall an upbeat ambience. We end up staying our entire stay of 2 nights and 3 days. We will definitely stay here again soon for our son's next BJJ tournament.

The couple stayed in the holiday suite for 2 nights from the beginning of the year. I knew the hotel was aging, but the room was large, but the lights in the room were only a stand ２ and it was dark. I entered the hotel after check-in was 3 o'clock, but I was waiting for it to end because I had not finished cleaning yet. The next day, no matter how many times I came back from the outside, the room cleaning did not come, and I came after 7 o'clock in the evening, and I refused because I had already relaxed after dinner. I have stayed in various countries and hotels so far, but it was the first time that it was so late. The location of the hotel is good but a little disappointing.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, good location, and great access to the beach and infinity pool. The food in their restaurants are pretty good. They have a shop that sells some souvenirs, beach/swimming essentials, some snacks and beverages, etc. which is convenient. If you want to work out they have a small gym on the lobby floor. They also have a good amount of washing machines and dryers for use. Each floor is provided as well with an ice machine and microwave near the elevators. However, I did have some minor issues with my room specifically. Sometimes the lights would flicker and there were problems with the water dispenser. I could also hear the chair and furniture of the room above me moving a lot which was bothersome especially at night and early in the morning. These weren't present during my previous stays here, so maybe it was just bad timing on my end. But I think more thorough room maintenance checks would be helpful just to make sure everything is in order. Overall, I think the pros still heavily outweigh the cons. I always enjoy my stay in Guam Reef and will gladly come back! Their service and amenities are great and the location is perfect since it's walking distance from multiple shopping centres, convenience stores, and restaurants. This is still my go-to hotel in Guam and have recommended it to multiple friends.

The breakfast at the hotel was a well-stocked buffet-style meal. They did make custom omelets. The breakfast included a wide range of meats each morning. There were breads, cereals, and pastries. Coffee, teas, and juices were included. The rooms are large and are well-appointed. The bed, pillows, and linens were outstanding. My room had a nice view of the pool and ocean. The internet worked well. The hotel is well located near the beach, dining, and shopping district. Other nightlife activities are in close walking distance. There was a large self-serve washer & dryer on-site.

After being „stranded“ in Guam because our connection flights have gotten cancelled over and over again, we decided to trade the uncomfortable chairs at the aiport for a real bed. Since there is no good wifi at the airport we decided to go the touristinformation to book a hotel. After 30 hours without sleep we just didn‘t feel like looking for a free wifi spot just to look up some hotels for one night. We told the employee at the information, that we don‘t care what the rate is. We just want a comfortable clean room with wifi and the hotel shouldn‘t be that far away from the airport. After he made some calls he said that a lot of hotels are full and dont have a room available. I suggested that it might be better if we check online by ourself and wanted to turn away from him as he said he can ask at Harmon Loop hotel. It is a little more expensive with 75$ a night but it is a nice hotel and they offer airportshuttle for 5$ per person for one way. We accepted and went outside to wait for the driver. We were picked up by the manager (I think) who demanded the transportation fee of 10$ dollars as soon as he had shut the doors. After giving him 20$ dollars and asking for the 10$ change he responded with broken english that we will get the change right away. We had to ask two more times for the money before we received our 10$. Irritaded by the whole situation we put it on the language barrier. When we arrived at the hotel it wasn‘t looking very inviting from neither the outside nor the inside. It felt like 40 degrees in the lobby and just to make sure what we have gotten ourselfs into we asked if we could see a room first before checking in. We could see that the people at the front desk didn‘t like that idea and they were discussing stuff in their mother tongue, their eyes still focused at us. Reluctantly he showed us the room. It was very heaten up and a little smelly but it had an ac and he told us that he has just turned it on. So it will be cool in notime. The rest of the room looked „okay“ at first and so we went back to the frontdesk and continued the ckeck-in. While I was completing the formal stuff the woman asked me why we wanted to see the room first, in a tone as if I had insulted her personally. I explained to her that we are just tired and stressed out and we didn‘t want to offend her. She did not reply anything and gave us the key, the wifi password and the remote to the television. But not before demanding the 10$ dollar transportation fee for the next day. Coming back to the room we noticed, that it hasn‘t cooled down. We started looking for a way to control the ac but decided to ask the staff if they could help us. They told me that they only have one remote and if we want to change the settings of the ac we would have to talk to them. After asking several times to give me the remote just temporarilly so we could adjust everything, they gave in and handed the remote over. But only if I will bring it back right afterwards. Be
