Best Hotels in Gumbet, Türkiye

Very good experience, the owner is very amiable, the room is clean, there is a good breakfast and unlimited tea and coffee, there is a large shopping mall less than 1 km nearby, there are many cafes and bars nearby. The owner has two lovely daughters. There is also a mini swimming pool in the hotel, but unfortunately there is no swimming time.

I really don’t like giving poor reviews but although there were some good points with this All inclusive 5star hotel there were quite a few negatives. We arrived at 4am due to flight being delayed and first (tired ) impressions were reasonable. Fairly quick check in and shown to our (sea view) room. Bed was comfortable. We got up about 9:30 and noticed our room was what could only be described as grubby. Dirty looking marks all over and yellowing on all white surfaces(walls and wardrobes). We did have a sea view but it was over some other accommodation so a distant view. Overall food was reasonable,decent choice and well cooked. Problem was there was never enough cutlery and I was just amazed that the problem wasn’t solved after a the first day of problems. If I had been the restaurant manager then I would have bought another 500 hundred sets myself rather than have the embarrassment of keep saying sorry to guests night after night. Same thing with the fruit juice machines, always empty with only half the guests thirst quenched. Never known anything like it, even in 2 star hotels. Beach was lovely and was always crowded with the pool areas staying empty. Pool bars and snack bar excellent as was the beach bar. Lobby bar was a lovely place to st and have a drink in the evening but after 9 pm it was only paper cups as although they kept collecting empty glasses no one ever washe them up 😂. Beds were made every morning though the rooms were never cleaned and toilet rolls seemed to be a scarcity and a couple times the dirty towels were taken away without leaving replacements though quickly rectified by a call to reception. Don’t expect your free drinks in your fridge to be replenished either. Most staff were ok though a few were excellent and a few were grumpy. All in all we had a good break but wasn’t the 5 star luxury we were expecting. Maybe 3 star + Disappointing overall is how I’m remembering it. I just remembered that we were WhatsApped by a guy named Bülent on our first morning and asked to go to a meeting with him at midday. We got there and all the new guests were present and he started off giving good info about hotel but it turned into a hard sell of attractions. We paid 30 euros each for a spa and massage experience away from the hotel and were promised it would be excellent but it wasn’t, it was dirty and awful backstreet sauna that no one was comfortable with. We also paid 50euros each for a boat trip that was amazing but if you book from the guys down the beach it was only 25 euros 😞. Don’t be fooled by Bülent, he is not your friend.

I had a lovely stay in this gorgeous boutique hotel run a by lovely young couple who made me feel very welcome and at home. The room was very clean and well appointed, nice pool area, amazing views over Gumbet Bay and a lovely poolside bar. If I come back to Gumbet I will certainly book here again.

Myself and partner thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Doria. It’s a modern, well equipped and friendly hotel. We had a double deluxe room with a terrace which was spotlessly clean and well appointed. The bed (and pillows) I would rate as probably one of the best I’ve slept on from all the hotels I have stayed in. The staff are first class. Special call out to all the hard working waiters at breakfast who always were friendly and looked after us - a credit to the hotel. Also reception staff who never failed to greet us or say goodbye on entering the hotel. Including Hatice, Kubilay and Duygu.

I went with a great couple friends id know for years, thank you for letting me come away with yous! had a brilliant time. We did stay in the older part of the hotel, where the rooms were not cleaned properly, but we complained to Anne who was very helpful lovely lady dealt with any problems.,although room was big and air conditioned with a fridge,balcony that faced a wall, the beds were comfortable and you were well stocked with big bottles of water and condiments. The pools and pool areas were lovely and well maintained. The food was ok,i have coeliac disease,but there was quite a bit of choice for me and the service was very very good,mohammed one of the waiters really looked after us he was such a hard worker and could tell he enjoyed his job he went above and beyond! Breakfast our coffee tea whatever was there straight away didnt have to leave our sets,same with our evening meal drinks were there and ready as soon as you sat down and he made sure you were kept topped up! He was amazing. Also i must mention Viesel (sorry if spelt wrong) He was also amazing very helpful chap he took me round each evening to show me where all the gluten free dishes were that i could have,i dont know what id done without him lol he was brilliant. Entertainment was good. Over all a lovely holiday.

9 nights to gumbet staying at the baba next door to Nagi, however very disappointed to see how dirty and run down babas beach side was so I went along to nagi to use their beach side (all hotels happy for you to do this if you purchase drinks/food) Customer service from all staff was amazing, good mornings/good afternoons, remembered your name, what you drink! Ordered and Brought the drinks and food to your sun lounger, always smiling, happy, get to know you as a friend not just a customer. Run a tab for the day and pay at the end of day. Food was amazing, chicken sandwiches, Toasties, omlèttes were my main go to for lunch and all come woth chips and salad, all for around £3. Staff constantly walking around serving. More staff cleaning the beach area, tidying the loungers once people left, wiping down tables and loungers, even had a net to sift thru the water for litter in there at times. When I used the pool side toilets, always staff there cleaning or restocking, not once did I see a mess or sandy wet floors like u often do. Security at the hotel entrance. Any dogs or cats that came on beach were scurried off by staff so they didn't pester for food. free WiFi Literally can't fault this hotel for its beach side and food service. Spoke to many of their customers who said great hotel, inclusive breakfast was great, fresh omelette cooked to order. The hotel is very tired, furniture and interiors are old. All inclusive is very scarce. To the sea you have to go through the stadium, wooded and washed. The beach is part of the city beach where all visitors are driven to 17.00. From stopping the route to go very far, it is better to use a taxi.

I stayed here for 4 weeks in august 2022 and it’s been an amazing holiday. The apartments are spacious and very clean. Pool and bar area is quite big and also nice. The staff are so helpful and nice. It is close to road, restaurants and bar street but you can hardly hear any noise. I will definitely stay here next year!

This hotel has a lot going for it; incredible view over the city and old castle, impeccably attentive staff, delicious food and excellent amenities. A few items we found not meeting the high quality we expected from a Small Luxury Hotels of the World and Hyatt Regency partner was some things that were lacking. The landscaping was a bit underwhelming and I saw many ****s. The pool area is subjected to the city street noise and multiple sirens go by hourly. There was also a hotel or bar playing music so loud that drifted up the hill to the hotel. They play the pool music fairly loud at the Mamara to mask it. Not great if you are wanting to relax or nap by the pool. Also, our AC would not cool our room. We had to sleep with our ground floor slider open. We called for repair and no one showed up for three hours before we left for the pool, which as someone else mentioned, was quite cool. (Maybe because it’s early May???) I’m glad we are using points to pay for the room rather than out of pocket. We are the highest level of Hyatt Regency and they told us they were upgrading us from garden view to sea view. Ummm, barely. Only if you sit out on the patio and look between two buildings.
