We had a very pleasant manager in Lakya Sarma. The suite was impeccable and spacious with lovely views. The dinner was beyond par with Assamese items in the mix. There was a curry leaf shorba I would love to have any day!. The breakfast was reasonably good. The staff attended to everyone with care and involvement and Biswajit at dinner was extra helpful. It was unfortunate we were just passing through and did not have time to enjoy the whole day. We hope to return sometime.

Staff support is excellent even at 11pm in the night both for housekeeping and IT. Food us great though this time I only had the buffet breakfast. Recommend the saboodana khichdi, pancakes and multigrain idlis. Staff are attentive and helpful. But I would recommend Umami from previous experience! The check in at around 6.30pm took some time but it was a server issue and the staff did their best calmly despite thete being some irate customers around. Thanks for a pleasant stay.

Vivanta Guwahati is centrally located, a few KMs away from the main market - pan bazaar and fancy bazaar. The rooms are quite well maintained and large, we had a loyalty member upgrade!! The services were a tad lower compared to our stay in other properties… may be this property attracts business executives and not so much tourists like us. When we left, there was a staff who came to check consumption from mini bar, but failed to notice and help the lady taking the luggage out to vacate! Is it too much of job segregation? One star gone for that only 😂 Our room was comfortable, service was excellent, though need to be told about the needs in advance. Debraj, Vishal and the sous chef Ashim ensured that our visits to the Dining area was pleasant and the food matched our requirements/taste. We were unfortunate not to have had breakfast in our 2 night stay due to long delay in coming out of Kamakhya temple and the next day we had to leave at 330 am to catch the morning flight. Thanks to Asim, we had a packed breakfast ready at 330 am!!! Food is one area, Taj has really come up well in the past one decade. Check in and Check out we’re smooth Overall it was a nice stay.

It’s no where touching the taj class washroom fitting are loose towel quality not upto the mark hospitality through should be improved
