Das Gasthaus ist eigentlich sehr schön, aber nicht für Gruppen geeignet. Die Gastgeber waren bei den Vorbereitungen sehr hilfsbereit. Es sind strenge Regeln einzuhalten was den Aifenthalt im einzigen größeren Bereich betrifft, wo es auch wenig Mücken hat. Beim Abendessen von 19.00 - 20:30 besteht die Möglichkeit sich dort aufzuhalten, da der Gastgeber danach seine Ruhe braucht. Sie waren aber bemüht so gut sie konnten sich um die Gruppe zu kümmern. Wir waren 12 Gäste und er hatte zuvor noch nie eine Gruppe betreut. Sie haben aber bestimmt ihr bestes gegeben. Die Anlage ist sauber und die Bungalow sehr angenehm.

There is a steep hill up to the property and once your @ the parking spot, you must hike a bit more to get to the rental. Nice pool, very clean property! Owners reprimanded teenagers for playing ball in the pool, so I would have to assume that this property prefers adults over kids. Entrance to property is not well marked (but neither is any other property on Moorea!).

I booked a room with this hotel. They sent an email through the website I booked with to email them and confirm the room with a deposit as it was pay later. I emailed them multiple times at the email that they provided. Then I tried a different email and they said I didn’t answer their calls (they never called me) so they had rented my room to someone else, so they could either stick me in a shared dorm room or I could make another booking at a higher price.

Delighted with our stay with Claire and Erick! Accommodation in large studio + equipped kitchenette. View of one of Moorea's passes: dolphins, whales... The owners bend over backwards to please you and are attentive. Swimming pool, scooter or car rental. We highly recommend this Fare!

This property is currently listed as a three-star hotel, when it is actually a hostel. Additionally, the claimed amenities are misrepresented.
- Rooms contain a bed, two nightstands, and a place to hang clothes. That's it. No TV, no fridge, not even a table and chair.
- Bathrooms are outside along an unlit path. I had to use a flashlight at night.
- Wifi is only available at a communal dining area with half a dozen chairs.
- "Laundry facilities" is asking the owners to do it for $15/kg.
- The "restaurant" is pre-arranging breakfast or dinner with the owners. You can't just show up and order something. There is no bar, that's just a lie.
On the bright side, the pool does exist, and the rooms are air conditioned. (But the air conditioner turns off when you leave, so it will be good and hot when you get back. This is a good time to take a shower while it cools off.)
Finally, I'll add that this property is on the opposite side of the island from any activity you will want to do or restaurant you will want to eat at. It's only close in the sense that Moorea is not large (60 minutes to drive around it), but Fare Arana is still 20-30 minutes from anything.

Thanks to Carole and Erik for their kindness. We had a great stay in one of the bungalows with a beautiful view. A car/bike/scooter is essential but the great thing is that Erik has everything you need to serve you. We didn't try the pool, but it looked very nice. And the bungalows are well equipped. And if you're missing something, Carole is here to help you! In short, I recommend this pension where you will be with your family!
