5 star hotel in catba island , they have very clean rooms and you will be spoilt for choices with the amount of facilities that they have. Gym is very well equipped , and the breakfast and dinner buffet is great. They have both indoor and outdoor swimming pools for the different seasons of the year.

This one is a bit of a mixed review. The resort is beautiful and the location is great. There is plenty to do on site, although all of it will cost additional money, which isn't unusual. This was off season, so not as much going on and many areas were closed, which doesn't bother me much. A policy that really affected my attitude was their water policy. I was told that we were only allowed 2 bottles of water per day. If we wanted more we could have them, but then wouldn't get any on the following days. I have no arguments with this, but it made me think twice about spending additional money for activities at the resort. Just my two cents, it may not be the best policy to create good will with guests.

Lets start with the basics. Flamingo Rerort Cat Ba cannot be considered as a 5-star hotel. Yes, its built at an ideal location and some of its facilities look amazing but there are several issues to be resolved in order for it to be considered a top notch resort. From a 5-star hotel visitors can usually expect: - Provisions such as laundry bags, cold water and perhaps different drinks options in the fridge (especially at a tropical desitnation), an iron and an iron board - A place (bar, market) where you can buy things (food, drinks, other necessities) - A business centre or at least some quiet corners with desks where people that need to work can set their laptops - Prices that are more expensive than outside the resort but not a rip - off - English speaking customer supprt and reception agents and managers - Reliable and fast problem solving Well, you guessed it right....Flamingo Resort Cat Ba doesnt provide any of the above!!! And many other things that might escape my memory now after a disappointing 2-day stay there. The worst part of our stay was using the laundry service. After calling the reception using the room phone device three times to request a pick up (there were no laundry bags in the room), i had to go to the reception myself. They returned the clothes the next day with oil stains. Upon complaining to the reception they promised a resolution. Which never came. I had to use Trip.com customer support to get some compensation because you guessed it right: THEY FORCED ME TO PAY FOR LAUNDRY TO LET ME LEAVE EVEN AFTER TWO ITEMS OF CLOTHES WERE DESTROYED BY OIL STAINS. In summary...Flamingo Resort Cat Ba is built in an amazing location and has access to three nice beaches. However, they are not exclusive and they are open to public. it means they can get very busy. If you dream about relaxing on a sunbed drinking something, that aint gonna happen either. Tehre is no bar or service people to get you even water. You need to go to reception (which is 10-15 min walk from 2 of the three beaches) to get a bottle of water or a beer. Dont let the photos deceive you. The place isnt the heaven it promises. It offers basic services and amenities that you pay 2x or 3x than other similar resorts in the area. I would recommend you avoid it if you are looking for a luxury resort

This was a wonderful hotel, fantastic views, awesome location and close to town. Really is a beautiful and wonderful site. Staff were friendly however only front reception staff seemed to speak English. Staff also seemed afraid to charge to room. Food was well presented but tastes and textures were pretty awful. They also need a wider range of beers and wines available at all bars and restaurants. Ignoring the small complaints this was an awesome and comfortable experience.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Flamingo Premium Cat Ba Beach Hotel during my vacation on Cat Ba Island, and I must say that it exceeded all my expectations. This hotel truly offers a premium experience with its exceptional service, stunning location, and the overall comfort it provided during my stay. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff, who were quick to assist me and answer all my queries. Their professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile for their guests really stood out and immediately made me feel at home. The hotel's location is absolutely breathtaking, nestled amidst the natural beauty of Cat Ba Island and offering stunning views of the beach. The serenity and tranquility of the surroundings provided the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to the beach allowed for easy access to breathtaking sunsets and long walks on the pristine sand.

People were kind. I do not blame them. Just the rate was wrong. If you are foreigner and don't have kid, another inexpensive small hotel could be an option. I found it's a popular place for local people, but not foreigners. They have the indoor pool and small beach, and it looks good for kids. But some facilities of the pool were not operated (such as sauna), and some damaged fixtures weren't fixed. I cannot see this is 5 stars. And please do not buy the half board option. the dinner from the buffet was the most terrible experience ever. But morning buffet was the level of 4 stars.

The location was nice and the hotel very beautiful. Breakfast was great and the room was comfy. The hot pot was good as well at the 1st building restaurant, although all lunch and dinner options are much pricier than anything else you can find on Cat Ba island. The service was very poor. It was my partner’s birthday and I had arranged with them to bring a cake into our room while we were gone for a surprise. I checked twice with them and… nothing. I was very disappointed. We also booked massages, which were not the best. The people who massaged us barely spoke English and were pressing very hard. We kept telling them it hurt but they didn’t understand. I also purchased drinks in advance for the spa and we never received them. Moreover, the spa section is divided in two (men, and women) so if you are a couple, you cannot enjoy it together, which is a real bummer. There are still the pools that are available but they close very early (7 and 8 pm - depending on the pool)!! And the outdoor pools were too cold for us to go in winter. To conclude, I feel a bit weird about this hotel. On one hand it was nice, although quite pricy and I liked staying there, but on the other, many things were extremely disappointing. I’m not sure I recommend.

We had great holiday with family , service is good, staffs are friendly.Breakfast is variety choices. However, should have direction at level 11 to sky bridge through towel 1-3 and staffs also understand well location as they told me sky bridge at level 12. Overall is good

The service was nonexistent in the hotel. staff lacked training and were more interested in their mobile phones. There were so many instances where the staff just couldn’t care…. It’s such a shame as the hotel and location are beautiful!
