interesting balinese onsen ryokan. service was great, i couldn’t take raw food and my husband is allergic to prawns and they took notice for it and didn’t serve them during our half board meals (breakfast and dinner). the onsen water is certified to be natural and we could read the details of the certification from both the hotel reception and room toilet. the private in room open air onsen’s temperature can be adjusted as well. however the room’s shower’s door was not completely sealed and we found it very chilly to bathe even tho there was hot water supplied as the constant cold air from outside would come in. hope the hotel can take note of this and seal up the showering area’s door completely to prevent air from exchanging during shower. it’s a jap-balinese fusion hotel, pretty interesting concept. we drove during our trip around hakone area and be ready to navigate through very small and narrow roads while driving to this ryokan haha. really very narrow roads. hotel also requested for us to pass them the car key when we returned to the hotel, and to pass them the hotel key when we are heading out, which we found to be a little weird to be honest.

The Room was the same as pictures. It was big with a scenic mountain view. Dinner and breakfast served in our private dining room was also exquisite. The staff were also very welcoming and friendly.

Friendly staff that able to communicate by English. Close to station but recommend go by taxi, it only cost around ¥700. Food is awesome!!!

Good place for relaxing

This hotel is on a slope. It will be very hard to push your luggage there from this station. Need to anticipate the distance. The electric plug in this hotel is very inconvenient. The bath in the room is good, but the public bath is average. 

This is the worst hot spring hotel I've ever eaten. It was so bad that I almost left! The fat wagyu beef was frozen. I don't know which ** person came up with this! Such an expensive hotel gave me this? When I checked out, I asked for help to call a taxi. I specifically asked how long it would take to arrive because I had a meeting and needed to leave in 15 minutes. The other party said it would take about 10 minutes to arrive. I said, "Then call again in 5 minutes." As a result, the waiter called immediately and said it would arrive in 10 minutes. I was very upset. As a result, the taxi arrived in 3 minutes and urged us to get in the car in a hurry. As a result, we left something behind. When we were almost there, the waiter contacted the taxi to let us pick it up, which doubled the fare! Taxis in Japan are expensive, which is really embarrassing! Hotels with better locations, good services, and better rooms are much cheaper than this one! Another day of being ripped off!

For me this was the worst experience ever. The service, cleanliness and room structure are all top notch. I still can't believe this is a hotel that costs HKD 5000++ per night. Something felt wrong from the moment I checked in. The guy who took us to the room was probably South Asian or Indian. His English accent was so strong that we basically couldn't understand it. Even though I spoke Japanese to him, he insisted on continuing to speak English. He spoke with his back to us the whole time, and when introducing the layout of the room, he habitually touched it with his hands. Forget everything else, he also touched the towels, bathrobes, pajamas in our room and other items that require absolute hygiene with his hands. Picture 1: We booked a room with an open-air bath, but when we looked outside, we saw someone standing about 10 meters away at eye level. I could see his face. There is only a piece of transparent glass between the shower room and the open-air bath, which means that not only can we not take a bath with peace of mind, but we are also at risk of being seen even taking a bath. Cleanliness was also disappointing. Figure 2-3: There are mold spots visible to the naked eye on the mattress of the bed. Picture 4-6: The pillows, pajamas, and baskets for carrying towels to the bathhouse are all shabby and old, and old stains and worn threads can be seen. Figure 7-10: Many places in the room (such as the kettle, window sill) are visibly covered with dust, and there are particles on the towels that I don’t know are garbage or what. I immediately asked Trip.com customer service to help me report the situation and request a refund, but the hotel refused. Then I went to the lobby manager to negotiate, and the person I negotiated with was a young Japanese male employee. I think it was quite gentle at the time, and I just explained the situation to him and showed him the photos, but he said that we had already checked in and they were preparing dinner, so there must be no refund today. I asked for one step back and only asked for tomorrow's portion (because I booked two nights), but he still rejected my request after discussing with his boss. We were really helpless at the time, but after careful consideration, we reluctantly gave up the HKD 11,000++ and booked another two nights at the nearby Tiancheng Garden.

The environment is clean and tidy. The service attitude was very good. The waiters were very careful when introducing the facilities and rooms. The room was larger than I expected. The food quality is very good (all the flavors I like). It’s just about the location. The walk from Hakone Yumoto Station to the hotel is on a slope, which can be difficult if you have large luggage. However, you can take a taxi from Hakone Yumoto Station.

The hotel is very beautiful, the service is very warm, and there is a dedicated person to introduce the various facilities of the hotel. The breakfast and dinner were very sumptuous. There was a private bath in the room. I went around the public bath, but there was almost no one there. In the morning, ask the hotel to send your luggage directly to the station, so you can travel empty-handed~

The internal environment of the hotel is first-class, the rooms are very good with mountain views, the private hot spring is very convenient for bathing, and the dedicated service is very attentive. I will book this hot spring hotel again next time.
